Jan 2023 we purchase a new camper that was from prior year. So it is a 2022 *************** Feather but we have all new warranty. Right from the beginning we had isssues with camper and it was like pulling teeth to get them to fix. Fast forward this year our Refrigerator stopped working correctly and a few other issues that we wanted fixed before warranty ran out in Jan 2025. We took camper in Sept and did not get it back until Dec. They had to winterize it because they kept it so long. They said they fixed and replaced items but how do I know. it is cold out and I can't check it. They told me I would get new Refrigerator but instead they say they fixed it??? So when I called them for the 20th time they finally said it was ready for pick up and I said I will be there that afternoon or next day. During business hours. When I arrived the business was locked up due to Moving to new location and that is why it took them so long to get my camper done. I called the number and I was really upset. They sent someone down to get my keys. She never offered a bill. Fast forward to 2 weeks later I get a phone call why did I not pay? I never got a bill. Now they sent me bill but as I said I can't check to see if anything is working or not untill spring. Now my warranty has run out. What I am asking is extension to warranty and for them to finish the job like they promised before we need it again. I know that a door inside still is not right. If they can't fix it then replace it. I will pay the bill when I have my camper in working order. I think they sold me a lemon but slowly we are getting this in order. I love my camper but I should not have to fight to get what I paid for. I will send billing information but they did not put on the bill all the stuff they were to do so it makes me wonder if they did it,.!Customer Answer

Thank you for reaching out, and we do apologize for Ms. *********** frustration during our move. That was indeed an extraordinary circumstance, and we are sorry we did not offer excellent service. We have attempted to reach out to Ms. ********* regarding this complaint, but have not been able to connect. We will continue to try to speak with her and make sure everything is understood.
Regarding extending her manufacturer warranty, we are not able to do so, and it is out of our control as it is an agreement with Ms. ********* and Jayco.
However, we do understand her inability to confirm that repairs were done to her satisfaction due to the winter, and we would like to assure her that we stand behind our repairs, and if any item that we previously performed repairs on needs attention in the spring, we will perform the work to her satisfaction.
As for an outstanding balance, these charges are for necessary maintenance recommended by the manufacturer to extend the life of your RV, and are due for payment to Kunes RV. We are happy to discuss every line item when we are able to connect.Initial Complaint

I bought a car but was running late to work. The finance manager told me to sign documents so I could get out the door as quick as possible. He knew my payments needed to be under $500 and that I wasnt getting any extras. He put an X at the bottom of pages and told me where to sign and initial. I did and left with the vehicle to get to work. When my payment plan came in the mail it said it was for $6000 more than I agreed too I called the store they said I bought the warranty and I never did but he must have had me sign paperwork I didnt want to taking advantage of the fact I was in a hurry.Business Response

Kunes sold me a 2018 F150 Lariat equipped with a 3.0L Powerstroke diesel. The truck was located in *********, ** and I reside in ***********. Kunes inspected the truck, and even sold me an extended warranty. Upon delivery of the truck - A replaced engine, which wasn't disclosed prior to sale - Leaking charge tube (oil leak)- Oval non-factory tires, which had to be replaced - Visibly blown rear shocks leaking oil - All diesel emissions had been deleted prior to sale, voiding my paid warranty Fast forward to today, the turbo failed at 33K miles. I attempted to file a claim on the extended warranty Kunes had sold me, except the warranty was cancelled because the emissions systems had been removed. Kunes sold me a lemon, lied to me in writing about the emissions being removed, and sold me a worthless warranty on top of it.Business Response

12/26/24 called the dealership to check availability on a truck, was told it was available and also noticed the trucks pricing was listed at different prices on different sites, Cargurus $28,279, Kunes $31,129. The pricing was not an issue as they agreed on the lower price, so and appointment was made for 12/27/24 at 4:45 pm. On 12/27/24 10:14am i received a phone call verifying my appointment, which i confirmed. 12/27 at 3:48 i texted stating i was on the way and i asked if truck was available and ready to be looked at and received a message back stating sure is, see you soon. Upon arriving to the dealership i told them i was there to look at the truck which they set me up with a sales *** and that is when he told me the truck was sold 12/26. The dealership made 0 effort to notify me about the vehicle i was driving over an hour and a half to get was gone and was told 20 minutes before arriving that it was available, which was false. They then proceeded to try and talk me into a different vehicle acting like it was no big deal that 3 hours of mine and my brother in-laws time and gas was completely wasted. Dealerships like this need to lose their license as it it completely inconsiderate and false advertising as the vehicle is still listed for sale.Business Response

February 2022 I bought a ******** xt4 2019 premium luxury model. I traded in my 2020 civic ex. Within 24 hours of driving off the lot, I had a nail in my tire and had to replace the whole tire out of my pocket. Months later in July, I get a notice from my salesman that the registration wasnt switched and needed me to sign paperwork. I submitted it and went on. Come to find out as I went to renew my registration, state of il didnt allow me to because my car was never registered. I brought this information to kunes at my oil change. They told me its because I never completed forms. I had proof via email I submitted it back in July. As I was there, I completed the forms AGAIN. After 3 hours of being there for my scheduled oil change, I left. I got less than 2 miles away and noticed my vehicle was shaking driving 37 mph. I drove off the road. Immediately turned around and went back. Service **** admitted they didnt tighten my tires after a rotation and sent the tech home who was working on my car. They solved my issue by giving me 3 free oil changes and apologized. Shortly after that I had an engine light come on. We had the car assessed by the same Kunes who charged $175 for it and said it would go toward parts. Not too long after the assessment, my alternator goes out 13 months after purchase. I replaced that out of pocket for $960. My car was towed to a dealership in ******** because I was done dealing with Kunes. They replaced my alternator there. Also told me that the part for the engine light was under warranty. I never got my money back from Kunes. Today, 2 years and 9 months later, I tried to trade my car in. Come to find out. There is a previous accident reported on my vehicle. Kunes did not provide me with this report as they told me it was clean! I would have NEVER purchased a $42,000 car with an accident! So much emotional damage over this along with money dumped into this car. I was deceived so badly.Business Response

We're sorry for your frustration. Vehicle history reports are provided by outside companies, and do indicate that they may not have complete information. In February of 2022, Kunes used AutoCheck to provide vehicle history reports. AutoCheck is a very reputable company run by ********, and we would have presented all information available to us at the time. Kunes now supplies ****** reports - another reputable company.
If an accident wasn't disclosed on the AutoCheck report, Kunes would not have been aware of the accident or its extent either. We see the accident report on CarFax is listed as very minor damage. Left side impact involving left front impact with another car - It hit a parked motor vehicle. If repaired this should not effect the value of the vehicle.

I am not accepting that you will not take responsibility for any of the issues my vehicle has had since purchase, starting the day I bought it with my flat tire and paperwork, then running me off the road with your service department being inexperienced. I received the auto check report from another dealership who indeed did say that accident decreased my car values worth. This accident was indeed reported in 2019, well before I purchased it. I feel very deceived by Kunes. This was my first vehicle PURCHASE. Not a lease. And it was the worst mistake I have made financially trusting you. I had no clue about all of the fraud and incidents your dealerships have had and I truly believe I was a victim of that behavior.

Car was provided with a ceramic paint protection that the dealer could not removebecause they do this to all their cars. They instead of removing the addition, took some money off the price of the car. The car has not had this process/ application done yet, and I have come to find out it is an insurance policy against scratches/ tears/ cosmetics. I was clear I did not want this and they told me it could not be taken out of the deal. The package was $1299 and I found out the next day when I requested a copy of the contract (which they never showed me there) that it can not be a condition of financing or purchasing the car. I was never given a contract prior and only got it after I requested. I have a recording of the salesman on the phone telling me similar. I am really disappointed and feel like my rights as a consumer were violated based on the way I was explained this extra addition.Once again- they told me it was a coating, it was never applied to the car and they want me to come back and have it done. I already paid for it. I have found out that it is an insurance policy against cosmetic damage. They have told me I dont even need to get the coating for the policy to still be active.Really all I want is a refund on this package as I feel I was mislead and was clear I didnt want this additional cost to begin with, but was told it was part of the deal and couldnt be removed. The first part of the conditions (which I was not shown) states it cant be a condition of buying. I digitally signed and did not see this until I requested it the next day. Thank youBusiness Response

On November 6, 2024 I went to my appointment at Kunes Country ******* of ****** in ******, ******** in response to a sales offer I received via email from the dealership. Once we test drove the vehicle we were told the price was $5,000 more than the offer that had been emailed to me, classic bait and switch. Only after showing the email to the salesman and insisting they honor the deal offered and multiple attempts at getting paperwork with the correct amount did they finally honor the amount. Although they then reduced their offer on my trade in. There is a star crack in the windshield approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter in the driver's line of sight. We were told it would be repaired. Then we were told it had already been repaired. Then when we asked for a receipt for our insurance company to prove it had been repaired, we were again told it would be repaired. The sales documents given to us state "we owe" (Kunes is the we) a windshield repair. We were told to come back for an appointment on November 18th for the repair. On November 8th we received an email from **** ***** with a receipt attached showing the Kunes service department repaired the windshield that day with less miles on it than when I bought it 2 days earlier. Clearly fraud and I replied I would keep my appointment the 18th. When I arrived on the 18th it was clear no appointment had been made. I was told the glass shop didn't have the new windshield yet. I was put in a loaner car and told it would be a few days. I called the 21st and was told it was repaired, not replaced, because they didn't want to pay for a new windshield, and looked the same. When I got my car back it still had the same star crack in the driver's line of sight and was covered in berries and bird p*** The entire experience was horrible and included much more deceitful practices than what I have room to write about here. Kunes left me with a safety issue on my vehicle that they promised, in writing, to fix.Business Response

Yesterday, 11/29/2024, I attended a Black Friday event at Kunes Antioch location. I informed the sales representative who assisted me that my purpose for attending the event was that I was looking for an inexpensive vehicle to purchase for my daughter to drive. I selected a 2004 ****** Sequoia with a price of $1499.00. I was informed (and it was clearly displayed on the vehicle) that the brakes were bad. I asked the sales person about having the brakes done at Kunes but was told that the cost was going to be much higher at Kunes than elsewhere. Prior to my purchase the following representations were made to me about the vehicle. 1) it was the best vehicle in the sale 2) that the only thing known to be wrong were the brakes 3) that it was a personal favorite (from a gentleman who worked in the repair part of the dealership)4 that it "I was surprised that it was included in this sale because it is in such good shape"5) that it was safe to drive except for the brakes and that even with the brakes I could safely drive it off the lot.I also heard sales people tell other customers similar things about the vehicles they were considering.Based on my conversations with the various people at Kunes Antioch location I did purchase the vehicle and test drove a new Bronco since I am in the market for a car for myself. I left feeling good about the purchase. I drove the Sequoia directly to a repair shop about 3 miles away and arranged to have the brakes repaired. However, when they put the car on the lift it was apparent that the frame was completely rusted through. The car was absolutely unsafe to drive and unusable as a vehicle. I contacted the dealership the next morning (11/30/2024) and was told, tough luck. You purchased the car as is and that's it. We will do nothing for you. We have no responsibility at all. Basically, we knew and we do not care. It is my hope that Kunes will stand for the values that they express on their website.Business Response
