      We had a problem in Mt Carroll. We also like many other reviewers were told the truck passed safety inspections. We were very concerned about the tires. Manager said "just drive it". We brought it to our dealer at home to purchase an extended warranty and he looked at the tires and said "Dont drive it, it is not safe". When we brought the tires up again to the dealer for the 3rd time they made fun of us. So, we have a very expensive truck in our garage that we can not drive unless we decide to spend another $1000.00 on it!We also were told by finance to write a check for ******* over the price. I said, did the fees go up? **** he said he made a mistake? What????In addition, do not buy the seal coat protection, it is a $1500.00 scam.Just go somewhere else, there are a lot of cars in the world, move on.

      stay away from Kunes CDJR! crooks, deceiving and liars. bought a 2019 *** from them. quoted one price and then by time the paperwork was done it was almost $5k more than quoted. also interest rate was no where near what I was quoted either. sat there for over 4 hrs trying to get this car bought only to find out at that everything they said was a lie. of course by the time it came to the paperwork it was close of business. we traded in our car and when we said we no longer wanted to go through with this purchase they said thats fine but our "trade it" was already gone.....WTH, so, basically either we had to take the car we were purchasing or walk away without anything since they had already taken our trade in somewhere and we live 3 hrs from here. when we went out to the car my husband noticed it was not an AWD (we were told it was) salesman said we must have misunderstood him,,,,,,no I dont think so! We took the new car home. Took it in for the first oil change/tire rotation to a different Kunes dealer only to find out that all the rims on this car were bent! We called CDJR and was told that we must have run over a 2x4 or something....really!?!?! It would take alot of force to bend all 4 rims! they refused to do anything about it. we took it back to the other kunes dealer who found the issue and they had a guy come in who straightens wheels. He did the best he could, they are still bent but not as bad as they were and they even billed CDJR for it! its been 8 months and they still have not paid them for it. you can not trust KUNES Belvidere at all! very pushy and will bully you until the end.

      Not happy with the service we have not received from Kunes RV in Sterling, **. Bought new camper, used 2x had water leak saturate the layers of the floor. We now have a soft/damaged floor. There it sits at the dealership, no response to phone calls, emails, text messages. Want to know how Kunes or manufacturer of our Viking **** Pro intends to fix the damage. Very frustrated with the lack of communication. We also bought a 2023 Rubicon beginning of March, 2023 from Kunes in Belvidere. There are issues with the rims, they contacted the manufacturer and we still have heard nothing 6 months later. Overall the experience has not gone well and we spent quite a bit of $$$. We bought new with hopes that we wouldn't have these types of issues. Again frustrated with the lack of communication. They made their profits and that is all that matters.

      I was desperate to get into a 15-passenger van, for my large adoptive family. They got a prison van for next to nothing and sold it to me stating it was in mint condition not telling where they got it, charged me $49, 365. 65, making extreme profit. The van was dirty; food and grime between back seats, lots of flaws, delivered in horrible condition. Had to mechanic the next day, tires wrong size NEVER EVER TRUST THESE SALEMEN. I believe in KARMA, life will show them they only won temporary. Money isn't all life has to offer, I will financially recover, their KARMA may be worse than a financial hit. They can have their manly ******** pages... it fake!

      I will NEVER reccomend this company to anyone. The lie to get a sale.. Then they will not do the proper work or if they do it is not done properly.. I had them fix a trim piece to my car and come to find out I was told it was a recall and they used duct tape to fix it.. They dont even deserve a star

      Funny Story. My lovely daughter just moved to the ****** area and was issues new plates. Unfortunately one of the screws rusted so bad it could not be removed. I asked her to go to Kunes Hyundai of Sycamore to see if they could help since he owned a Hyundia (Hyundai Motor America). They wanted to charger her a $165.00 to remove the s**** The manager tried to justify the cost with me because he said they had to take the back of the hatch off to get to the s**** I told him that he should not try and take advantage of people. He insisted he was not. My daughter took it to Merlin ******************* They fixed the issue in about 20 mins and charger her $20.00. Do you think that Kunes Hyundai of Sycamore was dealing in good faith or just thought they could make a quick buck? Let me know your thoughts.

      Sales Manager ***** is a fraud. Tells you deal is approved for financing and a done deal. including payment, interest rate and terms. Get all the way to the dealership to find out he is a liar! General Manager is even more dismissive then the Sales Manager. Worst car experience ever!

      Kunes in ******* is the most scrupulous car dealership I have ever encountered. I took my son to look at a vehicle that he liked, drove over 90 miles to look at it. Needless to say, I had pointed out several safety issues with the car such as bald tires, front end lip of car hanging down, dirty inside the vehicle and under the hood. They claim to have a 150 point inspection, but refused to replace or fix the safety issues or" cosmetic issues". Unfortunately my son took the car and less that 8 hours later, we had to return it due to back tires losing pressure, lip on front end hanging and other issues associated with this piece of ***t. My advise to my son is there are plenty of car dealerships who are BBB accredited so choose wisely before making a purchase. Check the BBB for their accreditation before purchasing ********** item! I will say that he was able to exchange the vehicle but they wanted to change the back tires and have him take the same car. I told them that was not going to happen. I DO NOT RECOMMED THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!! I AM DOING THIS REVIEW TO HELP OTHERS MAKE A SOUND DECISION. Have peace of mind not a headache.

      I went to drive two cars at this location after looking them up online and thinking the prices we good. After test driving both vehicles I decided on one. I sat down with the salesman and was told that the price on line was wrong and they wanted over $4,000 more for it. I was told that their corporate office puts the prices online and don't add in any of the fees from services done to it. After that I asked about the other vehicles and was told they were off even more on that price and that most their vehicles on the lot were not advertised at the right price. This is fraud and false advertising. I will never return.

      Very unethical marketing tactics- full lies when they quote you prices for trade in, get you to the store, then give completely different number than quoted over the phone. When asked about the straight up lies, the business manager said “they’re just marketing techniques.”
