I have been using First Data for years and to call them it is always the worst customer service in the world. They have 50 phone numbers and they all go to the same recording and people. Not one person has a clue what they are doing. This last call is such a waste of time and money, It will be my last credit card I ever run and after it is done, I will close my account forever. Do not use them or even think about it or you will always regret it. You will end up in a mental institution trying to get one question answered if you actually get a real person to speak to.Now speaking to a girl from another country who I cannot understand well is trying to explain what the **** mean and I know she is wrong. Pure stupidity.First Data

You know this company had me running around for a month looking for a 35$ purchase. It was $6 and 25$ is a fee. Its because my bank and Amazon had a miscommunication.. I think my bank was delaying payments because i had issues with card theft and my info was on the dark web, said Expedian. You cant reach this company and think ur going crazy looking at the clock that says they should be open .. but their message says they arent. Hmm. Georgia address. Eastern time! No, central time...how? I lived in Georgia. Ohh they arent in Ga. They are in Texas. So I finally get someone and know i now get why Amazon gave me $6 for item and 40$ for my troubles.. because they gave me a gift card in lue of me making the payment because the seller is 3rd party so they couldn't return the item, really. They said they did. Well, it was put in a way that now I realize was making it good with me....but me still paying. All i knew is i had money in my account and i wasnt in the negative but i had a shirt. So, how does that make sense? If it wasn't sufficient, as my bank will do, because i have paid for overdrafts, and trust me they want me to go negative. They pay and pay, at 35$ a pop. Except this payment they declined? They didn't decline a 70$ double payment the month before.. or a 100$ one a year ago. But amazon for $6.. ohh and it never showed up on my Amazon account... At all! It showed as the shirt was ordered but in my transactions... Full history, not there.First Data

María ********** very disappointed of this company , sales Team is a big scam , They promise a lot, they sent me two machines and never worked, I was never able to process, and they charged me two months the monthly fee. Fungai ******** ( sales man ) promised to return my money and also never happened , it made me lose money and time, I tell other businesses NOT to believe them It's a company of many lies. I'm still waiting for my money. I don't have to give away money for bad service and the worst thing is that I canceled with a company that honestly always complied with me thinking that I could supposedly save on processing charges. Very bad experience. Stay away from first Data , card ConnectFirst Data

Thank you for bringing the stated concerns to our attention. In speaking with your Sales Team, they have advised they provided the equipment and covered the shipping cost for the FD150 and later the Clover device. In addition, they set up and showed you how to process and offered more assistance. You processed on the device and signed the Merchant Processing Agreement (MPA) to pay the monthly fees that were disclosed. The offer to refund was contingent on settling in house and you did not allow them to do so. There will be no refunds forthcoming. We recommend that you settle with your Sales Team and contact them directly at **************.Review fromSteve K

FirstData, now Fiserv, is currently holding onto 100K plus in funds for over 2 weeks because they deemed some transaction as fraudulent. Those were transactions by our existing customers of at least one year. Repeat customers who buy from ** regularly. Big customers who buy in thousands of dollars every time. We provided all the invoices/delivery receipts/bank statements/card holder information. Still, they would not give ** any reply. We couldn't process any CC today. We found out that they closed the account without any notice. They are the worst. 100K in funds that we need now, during the busiest season for sales. Funds we need to pay our vendors to get more merchandise to sell. To FTC. If a company holds 45% of a market, they should be split. This is absurd. When their customers are doing well and increasing in volume, they should be cheering and rooting for them. That is not a reason for them to hold on to our funds and shut down the account and investigate. We are a legitimate business. Fiserv, please analyse and know your customer's market!!!! And not only your bottom line. Are you going to shut down all your customer accounts that the volume goes up during busy season?????????First Data

I have had a terrible time with First Data since I opened my business. They are impossible to deal with because you cannot get through to anyone in an efficient manor, plus always just hang up on you.
I have been completely taken advantage of by these people. I closed my business, and after I what I thought closed my account they contacted me saying I had a charge back for $6.50, which was probably caused by the Clover POS, which also is terrible. Now, after talking with someone at First D. in August, and paying $31.00 they have turned me over for collection for $181.50!! Where do they get off charging me $150 for a $6.50 charge back?
This is one of the reasons I closed my place I just couldn’t take constantly dealing with things like this!First Data

STAY AWAY from the first data. This company is the biggest scam ever. I called for the cancellation of the service one month ahead of the billing date. Called 5 times with 3 ticket references and NEVER received a call back for the cancellation even though they promise they have scheduled the call for the next day. They DELAYED the cancellation on purpose and CHARGED me with 5 random charges even though I called one month ahead to cancel the service. First data did this on purpose even though I kept calling so many times. I got charged another annual membership fee of $75, a discount fee $20, another monthly rental of $39.96, and two other charges of $10. I asked for a call back for an explanation for all these random charges after I called 5 times for cancellation. NEVER get a callback and they CLOSED my file after they did the random charges. I got another cancellation fee of $500. I have to mention their SALES team is a big scam team. When I sign the contract I double-checked with the guy to make sure there is no contract since I'm selling the business in a year or 2. The sale guy promised that there's no contract and now I found out he signed me for a 5-YEAR CONTRACT without telling me!!! Be careful!! These. guys are doing a new way of SCAM!!!! If anyone who has a similar experience wants to file a lawsuit I'm down for that!!!First Data

I’ve been in communications with Clover for months regarding upgrading my pos system and changing my merchant service from TD. I’ve had multiple conversations and communication with Andre ******* and I’ve always been clear that our restaurant is in a older building and the wifi capabilities is only 5 mbps. I was clear that our wifi wasn’t reliable and I was assured that the clover system would accommodate this issue. We received the system back in August and I’ve still yet to use the system on a continuous basis. The wifi continuously drops when we are using it. It interrupted sales when we started using it outside of training. I contacted Andre to let him know we’d like to “turn on” the LTE capabilities on the system because the wifi isn’t functioning properly. He then told me that LTE is a separate system from the wifi. Now they are refusing to switch the system. I had no idea the system were separate had I known I’d definitely asked for the LTE. I was very clear about the internet, patio service and offsite catering payment, so I should’ve been sent a LTE in the first place. We changed our business model in September thinking clover would help us go from full service to counter service with online ordering and pos integration. Most of this haven’t happened due to Clover lack of action to replace I system that is not suitable for my business. First, Andre acted like he would replace the systems and he told me he working on getting the sytsems replaced. He told me they were back ordered but he could get the handheld system out to me first and the other one the end of November. After a week or so passed, he told me his manager is approving the replacement and all sales are final. I have been waiting to use this system from August and we are now in November. I have been payment monthly subscription fees and equipment payment for a system that I haven’t been using. I am now being told that I would need to purchase a new LTE system. WHAT!First Data

We are unfortunately in a contract with First Data currently. Their customer service is horrible!! It takes hours of being on hold to get a live person. We needed a new card reader and requested a new machine. They sent one without the sim card. Two weeks later and multiple phone calls, we are still without a working card reader. This is affecting our ability to do business!!First Data

First Data is the worst credit card transaction company that charges crazy fees and has the worst customer services. It does not even deserve a one star rating. They cheat and exploit small businesses. We discontinued services with them on 6/22/2022. They still charged our business account $460 in September 2022. They stole your money. Please do not enter any contract with them. Otherwise, they will not serve you, but steal money from your business.First Data
