Sales people are predatory, obfuscate facts, hide complete information, misrepresent merchant fee percentages, lock you in to lengthy non-cancellable leases for equipment that in the end cost up to 5x the purchase price, if you can even get them to agree to let you buyout a lease contract the amount will be up to 50% higher than the remaining balance. Unable to get itemized and complete billing statements. They have sign contracts stated at a rate or price that are purported as static fees, yet can be changed by will by the company at any time. Nothing is ever as it seems. Reimbursements for fair and valid claims / overcharging are nearly impossible to achieve. This company exists to bilk hard working business owners out of their money. They are a ******* **** on the backbone of America. They deserve to be prosecuted, class action lawsuit-ed, and buried under the jail. BEWARE AND TAKE HEED. Never do business with First Data, Fiserv, Clover or ANY of their subsidiaries. Sincerely, Hard working small business owner who has been taken advantage of by First Data.First Data

We have been with First Data Merchant Services for 10 years. Last year, a rep from this company came in and told us that our terminal was 9 years old and needed replacement. It was outdated and out of it's service life. She leased us 2 new clover machines. Our lease payment on the old machine was $37.74/month. Our new lease payment is $82.08. The rep from First Data/Clover ordered 2 new machines for us and came and installed them in March of 2003. She diconnected the 9 year old machine and we asked he if she wanted it back. She told us to discard it because it was obsolete. We did. I had another company propose switching merdchant service companies and found that we have been paying the old lease payment and the new lease payment for 19 months. We spent over $700 on a machine that we were told to discard. With over 3 hours on the phone, we were able to cancel the first machine lease (as a courtesy) but they will not discuss a refund. Complete run around, was told even though it was First Data Leasing Dept, they could not help me with first data. When I asked for a supervisor, I got the run around. Finally talked to a supervisor and he told me to cqall ***** **** where we originally signed up. I called ***** **** Merchant services and ended right up where I started. They knew I hadn't been using the machine and refused to refund over $700 that I paid to lease a machine that I was told to throw away. Oh, and the rep no longer works there. Imagine that.First Data

I signed up with First Data and was told I could cancel at any time. then after quickly reading the contract, I later foulnd out it was a 4 year lease. Then a First Data rep came into my store asking how I like the service I was getting fromFirst Data. I told him I had been offered better rates from another company. The First Data rep told me he could get be lower rates if I cancelled the current data and he could then issue a new contract at lower rates. Now I find out I was tricked by this rep and on now have to pay for two (2) Terminals. over the next 3.5 years or pay out a hugh amount. I called First Data when I saw two changes for the Terminals and they had not sent me out a return slip for the other terminal. I was told I would have to pay for both terminals per the contract. They didn't care I was lead to believe by the First Data Rep he could get the 1st contact removed because I was signing up with 1st data again. That was a lie. STAY AWAY FROM THIE COMPANY!!!First Data

The company charged customers twice through the POS while I received only one payment, then I got charged back and the 2nd payment was never received. Phoned 5 times and was transfered to every department each time without any resolution until departments were closed and was told they could no longer answer due to this and that they would phone me back in 24-48 hours. Now I can't even cancel due to them being closedFirst Data

The app is complete trash ! I can't login to access any of my money or see my balance ! I'm so sick of this company I pay all my bills out of this account and I can't even see my balance or transactions. The website does not let me login so I have to call the customer service and deal with the ignorant customer service FIX YOUR APP!!!!!!!!!!First Data

My company would give zero stars if we were able to give zero stars. We had old equipment at one of our locations that has been charged to the business for years. The credit card equipment is worth a fraction of what we paid for the equipment via the monthly lease charges. When we called to cancel the lease for equipment we do not use, the customer service representatives in ***** made it extremely difficult to cancel. Due to the difficulty, I will have to call back and cancel at a later date. I would recommend anyone with credit card terminals to never use First Data Merchange Services or First Data.First Data

This is the least secure account I have ever had. About 10 days ago I received an email thing my account may have been compromised so I called them. They informed me that there was another phone number put on my account. I told them no, there's only one phone number, and please make a note or block that any other phone numbers get on there. Additionally I changed my PIN number and requested a new card. They said there was no compromise and that I didn't need a new card. 10 days later somebody took out a large amount of money out of my account. When I called them to ask them about it they said that there was another phone number on my account. This is after I told them not to add any more phone numbers. So now it's in dispute and who knows where that will go.First Data

My money network card was used fraudulently by someone in another state.The only thing I have ever used this card for was to transfer money into my bank account. I don't get why the government can't do a direct deposit and skip this BS. The card has never left my desk and I have never used it for a single transaction but my information was still stolen somehow. They need better security.First Data
