check your invoices. very poor service. lots of overcharges. I have been waiting for a processed refund for equipment since December 15 of almost $1500. I have spoken to the head representative in our area and I was told the refund was processed to be paid in 5-7 business days and still haven't seen the money. when I called the company and disputed, their answer was "Not our fault that you didn't check your invoices sooner"First Data

Don't sign with this company. They are usually buried in the contract you sign with the payment company. You will pay a minimum of 6k a machine and it's a 48 month lease when your payment company is a 36 month agreement so you pay for a machine for a year after you leave the company doing your payments. Business owners---READ WHAT YOU SIGN!!!!!! Find a company with no contract and you don't have to purchase the machine. HINT these are not the companies that send someone door to door or telemarket. Check with a reputable bank , do your researchFirst Data

I continue to struggle with this company and there is no one to escalate the problems to. I have been waiting for a processed refund for equipment since December 1st of almost $3000. I have spoken to countless people at their customer service who pass me off and around. I was told the refund was processed almost three weeks ago to be paid in 5-7 business days and still haven't seen the money. The people who work at the call center always ask for the phone number to call back in case of disconnection and I have been disconnected over 10 times on this particular matter and no one has ever called back, and then I have to go back in the cue. On Dec 14th I was disconnected twice, Jan 24th I was disconnected 5 times in 40 mins and on this issue I have spent 3 hours on the phone. Not one person has said sorry either. They disconnect you when they don't want to deal with you. Or they tell you that someone else will be in contact, ask you if there is anything else they can do - then please hold for the survey and 9/10 you get disconnected waiting for the survey. It is impossible to believe this is coincidence. I feel cheated as the money was never theirs to take and the way they are doing business is not inline with their ethics in North America I am sure of it! I would be long gone as a customer but the clover product is impossible to beat. So frustrating!First Data

I got my Clover Flex, but have never activated it. I closed my eCommerce merchant account. PCI compliance is part of a merchant's responsibility for accepting credit cards. Accepting credit cards online requires a SAQ questionnaire and a network scan of the online server with penetration testing of the shopping cart software. When I closed my eCommerce merchant account and stopped accepting credit card payments, it removed the requirement for a network scan. Without the Clover Flex activated, I had no requirement to maintain PCI compliance at PCI compliance is only required for merchants accepting credit cards. I started to get scan fee warning emails from Clover Security and a fee automatically taken out of my bank even though I had closed my merchant account and was no longer accepting credit cards. For 7 years I maintained PCI compliance so I obviously have a clue about these things. I have also managed PCI compliance at places I work and managed a credit card processing facility in the past. Turns out the Clover Flex did open a new merchant account and overwrote my account on Clover Security for the quarterly scans. This caused the scan requirement for my eCommerce merchant account to be transferred to the Clover Flex which does not require a network scan. While knowing I had stopped accepting online credit cards, the error in their system still charged me $59 twice for failure to scan even though there was nothing to scan. When I finally did get in touch with Clover support about the scan fees, they had me fill out the 4 question SAQ. The 4 question SAQ supposedly cleared the scan requirement but First Data charged me the scan fee anyway for January. Clover and First Data refused to return my money. So I closed the second merchant account to prevent further theft from First Data. Now I am stuck with a card processing device that I owe payments on which I have no clue how or where to send the payment to or how to buyout the lease.First Data

Someone created an account using my business ein # and mailing address to charge fraudulent money. I just received a 1099 from First Data and called the number listed. They left me on hold over 30 mins to just hang up on me. I called again and was on hold trying to get to the fraud department and they wouldn't transfer me because they wanted my company account info - I don't have an account, the scammers created it. NO help and very rude.First Data

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! I had been using Clover Device through this business because of our bank. We are a small business owner and know how important it is to have payment options available for our customer. After our first year, we were told by their Clover support team that our device will no longer have ATT coverage and we will need to get a new device that will have wireless coverage. We were forced to get another device and charged full price. After 4 years of doing business, we closed our account and subscription for the Clover device. We closed it on October 2023. Then on December 2023, we see a charge on our bank account for over $600 for another Clover device, which we did not ask for. Thankfully our bank was able to dispute the charges. Today 1/29/2024, I called Clover support team to request they remove our banking information for future charges. They sent me to 6 different people to talk to, each time asking for my account information, questioning why I want my banking information removed when my account is closed. Finally, the last person I talked to was my final straw. I told the lady "I would like to remove my bank information because I don't want to get any future charges." She responded "Did you get charged in January?" Then I replied "I didn't get charged in January 2024, but that is not the point, I want my bank account removed because I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT in October 2023 and got charged for a device on December 2023 that I did not ask for." I was told that she was unable to help me and that I need to call my bank. I WASTED OVER 1 HOUR ON THE PHONE with their "support team" that can't even do anything. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY! The customer service is the worst and they won't remove my banking information from online account that I already closed.First Data

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We are sorry to hear about the experience you encountered while attempting to close your account. Our records indicate on 10/06/23 You spoke with our **************** as you were having issues with your terminal, however, the equipment was out of the warranty period and CardConnect ordered a replacement which was the charge for $609.37 on 12/02/23. We have since refunded the $609.37 and reflect you the account is closed as of 10/13/23. While we believe this resolves your concerns, nevertheless, do not hesitate to contact **************** at **************.
