Very disappointed in both customer service and in the quality of the bulbs this year. I have placed several orders over the years and have been very pleased. Not this time! I ordered august 1st for zone 6. Which has a planting time for tulips in October. When October came and went I sent them and email asking about it and even offered to cancel my order, the email I received from them was just rude! Order shipped November 9th arrived on November 16th at 11:47 am. I opened immediately and stored correctly for a day and half. Planted them and while planting noticed that two of the packages in the 100 blooms of purple and pink were missing a bulb each. Moving on to more planting and two of the bulbs had mold on them and two additional bulbs were so dried out there was nothing left in the center to grow. Ok next day went out to plant the 50 mixed tulips and two of those bulbs had mold On them. Have been happy in the past with holland bulbs but no longer. This experience has been awful! I have never had to count the bulbs in a small package of 10 before! I only noticed it as I was planning on matching them on each side of the walkway!. The mold issue on them tells me they were not stored correctly before shipping! The missing bulbs, the dead bulbs, and the moldy bulbs along with a month late for my zone does not give me great feelings as to how they will do for blooming next year! I will be looking at ordering elsewhere next year!Holland Bulb Farms

If you do receive items in poor condition, we do ask that you email us images so our bulb experts can review for future quality control. Also email us any items that were missing bulbs so we can make sure packaging errors are also remedied in the future. Unfortunately I am unable to find any customer or order information in our system under the information you have provided. I really enjoy searching through your selection of bulbs. I normally do buy from other companies because your prices are a little much for me since I am retired with limited funds. I wish that I loived closer to your farm to see the beautiful flowers. So I don't know how I could redeem the $75.00 gift certificate from your store unless I can order from your online store. 4 Clematis plants dead on arrival. Contacted customer service and they would not refund or replace. Said the plants were viable and would come up by October. Planted them, and carefully tried to bring them back from the dead. NONE came up.Holland Bulb Farms

Hello,Thank your for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear the Clematis didn't perform well for you this season. After reviewing the images, they did appear viable upon arrival. We do send them in a dormant stage that will have growth in tact from the previous year that is brown/yellow. This is kept in tact to protect the roots during the Winter season. Although the leaves that remain are not viable, the roots were as indicated in the images you provided. I do also see that we did reply to an email you sent with a one time courtesy solution for you regarding the Clematis. Been buying bulbs and seeds from them for just about four years. They always have such a wonderful selection. And not just the normal stuff from the nursery. Always have had great luck with their dahlias and tulips! Did try my luck with the seeds too. I had great germination success when following directions verbatim. The shipping is fast and everything comes healthy never had a rotten or mangled bulbs and never a sprouting issue. Ordered Day Lillies in March 2023. I was told that the bulbs would be delivered in October. It took 10 days to ship to ******** using Fed Express in October. Two plants had no roots (bulbs). I was told I have to wait until Spring for possible replacements. All other plants received have been planted and all are growing since I live in **********. Sent emails and made a phone call today. No response to latest emails and today's phone call! How can 2 day lilly plants grow if they do not have roots (bulbs) and why do I need to wait until Spring when ** has warm weather that results in the other Day Lillies to grow?Holland Bulb Farms

After reviewing your order, I do see it was shipped on 10/9/23 and delivered on 10/18/23. I'm sorry it took awhile longer in transit then expected. That is certainly something we will need to reach out to the carrier about. I see you did reach out concerned about the condition of 2 of the Daylilies you received. We do state in our Grow Guarantee found on our website and also on the back of your packing slip that if any items arrive in poor condition, we do require images to be sent within 5 business days of recieving. Please see below:SHIPPING & DELIVERY If there are any concerns or discrepancies with an order upon receipt, please contact our customer service department within 5 business days of delivery.If you are concerned with the condition of any of the items you received, we require images of the item(s) to be provided via email. Once the images are reviewed, a replacement will be automatically sent if the item is not viable. If the item is no longer available, a refund will be issued in the amount paid for the item.We did ask you to submit the images but you had reached out at that time and told us you had planted them. Since you did deem them well enough to plant and failed to send the images we require, we did ask you then to wait until Spring when the items sprout. If at that time, they fail to grow, we would be more than happy to find a solution. Your recent email to us was responded to as well indicated you were not aware images were requried. We reiterated that without the images, our Grow Guarantee is void and since you did plant them without sending the images, we do ask you wait for Spring then for them to grow. For future reference, we do have our full list of policies on our website and also a printed version on the back of your packing slip. This company sends what your order in the timeframe they promise. I received the wrong order once, and when I let them know, they let me keep the wrong order, sent my original order, and thanked me for letting them know! I really like their plants. Their staff is very responsive.Holland Bulb Farms
