I ordered over 500 tulips from this company, and I received maybe half of what I ordered at most. The customer service did not make it right.Holland Bulb Farms

Hello,Thank you so much for reaching out to us. I do see you recently chatted with one of our representatives. It does look like you had a large portion of the Tulips that have grown but were still waiting for the rest. You did mention in the chat that you thought you were missing some at arrival but didn't count them or notify us when the order arrived. After checking the tracking information, the weight does indicate all of the tulips were included in the package when it arrived. Since you didn't count them or double check how many packages arrived and planted what you had, our representative did ask you to give the rest of them more time to sprout. You purchase several different varieties that bloom and sprout at different times in the Spring, they do not all bloom at the same time. After giving them another month to show more sprouts, she did mention for you to reach back out to us with an update if any more sprouted. If at that time, they did not sprout, we would be happy to find a solution then. Since it is the first year they were planted and you did plant later in the season, they can take a bit longer to come up and as in nature, each bulb is unique and will come up in it's own time. Again, we are more than happy to help you with a solution after you provide enough time for them to sprout this Spring since there is a good chance the ones that didn't come up are later blooming varieties.Review fromLyudmila T

They are liars. Before I bought the plants, I called customer service and asked. if I could get my money back in case the plants did not grow. I received a very clear and definite answer: yes, you will get your money back if they do not grow by next spring. To make a long story short, they never gave me my money back, and they referred to the rules that were never mentioned, neither by their customer service representatives before I bought the plants nor in the instructions sent with the plants. Thank you so much for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you are not happy with the items in your previous order. After reading the transcript from your live chat on 2/15/23, I do see that you had reached out concerned items hadn't grown that were shipped in Fall 2023. Our representative informed you the items that are planted in Fall are not meant to grow until the following Spring. At that time, you did mention you had planted them all indoors. Unfortunately the items in your order are not meant to grow indoors, they are only meant to grow outdoors, in their natural habitat. The Grow Guarantee found on our website and also on the back of your packing slip does state very clearly if items are grown outside of their normal growing conditions, they will not be covered under our Grow Guarantee. It also states if items do fail to grow, we offer a store credit in the amount paid for those items, not a refund. Please see the statements directly from our Grow Guarantee below regarding growing conditions and failure to grow: All customer comments regarding our products should be directed to our *************************** either by way of telephone ***************) or email us within the first growing season as defined below*. As our gardening community understands, there are many environmental factors that are needed for a plant to successfully grow. These factors, including but not limited to, poor weather, planting outside of recommended growing conditions, improper planting techniques, moisture/sunlight needs, location, timing, etc. are out of our control and therefore cannot be covered under our Guarantee. We recommend all items be planted immediately after arrival. We are not able to guarantee the viability of the items if they are not planted upon arrival and stored. Please keep in mind, every plant is individual and unique and, just as in Mother Nature, perfection is not guaranteed. However, we can guarantee that you will receive the highest quality available in a timely manner.Holland Bulb Farms provides planting instructions and requirements needed for each item on our website. Please refer to each items page to ensure the item(s) purchased are best suited to your individual growing conditions and climate. If an item fails to grow, please contact our customer service department during the first growing season*.Our representatives will work with the customer to help determine the cause of failure. This investigation may require the submission of images and/or the unearthing of the items. I ordered a variety of bulbs species on January 14. Shipping was slow and with ***** smartpost. The shipment was sitting in ******* at 2 degrees temperature for 2 full days. Upon arrival of the package I noticed that all 10 Daffodil bulbs and all 5 Hyacynthia bulbs were spongy, soft and rotten. After submitting images and tried to contact customer service several times, they issued a $2 refund. Now that is a joke, considering the value of the bulbs and the price you pay for replacement of the bulbs.Holland Bulb Farms

Hello,Thank you for reaching out to us. After reviewing your order and your previous communication, I see you ordered a Clearance Grab Bag for $55.00 which included 275 different bulbs. Upon reading your email, I do see you sent images of 10 bulbs that were in poor condition. Each bulb in the package came out to $0.20 each. Since 10 were in poor condition, we refunded you a total of $2.00. Unfortunately when partial packages are in poor condition, we are not able to replace, instead we issue a refund for the amount of bulbs in poor condition. Unfortunately we only received an image of 5 daffodils and 5 ********* We did not receive images of all 10 daffodils. I’ve been a faithful customer for five years. I ordered seeds bulbs and house plants from this store.In my experience they stand by their warranty and promptly replaced bulbs that didn’t germinate. You can always reach then via email, chat or call in. Customer service is friendly supportive and approachable service always appreciated. I like the selection and the indoor&gift tab is very helpful with a huge selection of pre-potted Amaryllis(check the sweater Amaryllis perfect for any occasion).Holland Bulb Farms

Very poor plants, poor customer service, I find it hard to believe their are in WI or even U.S. based, very rate, english isn't their first language in customer service. Prices good but 50/50 you'll get what you are paying for.Holland Bulb Farms

After reviewing your account, I do see you have one order from us for a Waxed Amaryllis. It shows you did contact us by phone concerned with the condition of the item when it arrived. We certainly do apologize. Unfortunately Amaryllis are susceptible to becoming damaged in cold weather and although we do include heat packs when we ship in Winter from our ********* location, it is possible in rare instances ************* can still be affected by the temperatures. Pre the Grow Guarantee on our website and on the back of your packing slip, we are always willing to work with customers on finding a solution. If an item arrives in poor condition, we don't ask for the item to be returned like a brick and mortar store would, we just ask for images. This helps us to review our quality control and also other necessary measures that *** be needed when shipping during colder weather. Unfortunately, after being asked for the image we required, it appear you refused and ended the call with our representative. Please email the image at your earliest convenience and we would be more than happy to send a replacement or issue a refund as stated in our Guarantee. Extremely poor quality in products and extremely rude and poor customer service. I placed an order for about a total of 100+ tulip bulb in. a variation of colors. upon arrival about 1/10 of every bulb was rotted, dried and molded. I reached out to customer services and asked about a 100% grow guarantee and asked to work out a solution to the problem. I sent picture and order information and asked to negotiate or work out a solution both parties would be satisfied with. Instead I was immediately refunded less than what it would cost to replace the damaged bulbs and not allowed to have a say in what would work best in the situation. **************** was very rude and not understanding of the situation and didnt help. They are lying on their website advertising false claims and fake guarantees. thinking about taking legal action due to the lack of transparency and information with this company. Will probably not give my business to this company again when they are stealing from their customers.Holland Bulb Farms

We understand your disappointment and want to address this issue promptly.Here at Holland Bulb Farms, we offer a Grow Guarantee on all our items that arrive in poor condition, we will need to know how many bulbs per variety arrived in poor condition. Once we have that information, we will be happy to assist you. You did send us a reply to our email asking for clarification with the following email that same day:I appreciate your help. I received about 4 (Pink Diamond Single Late Tulip) 3 (Red Impression Tulip) and 3 (*********** Triumph Tulip) that were rotted, molded or dried.After re received clarification from you regrading the bulbs included in the images, we did reply to you again on 1/12/23 with the following:Good Day *****! Thank you for contacting Holland Bulb Farms and for sending these images. We apologize for the condition and the state the items arrived in. Please be informed that replacement items may only be sent if the damaged items account for more than 50% of the total quantity in each package. We received your request for reimbursement. We have refunded $4.74 back to your MasterCard Account. Please allow 1-2 business days for this amount to post back into your account. Thank you and please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.Our Grow Guarantee does offer replacements if available or a refund for items that are in poor condition. I bought a waxed Amaryllis for the first time and what a disappointment. Although we did get two beautiful flowers the stalks were stunted only growing to 3 inches! I emailed Holland Bulb Farms with a photo to ask if this was what I should have expected and I never got a response which only added to my disappointment. Dwarf Amaryllis are used for the waxed Amaryllis to prevent them from tipping so they are generally a bit shorter. The height can also be determined by the amount of sunlight and also the temperature they are in. Unfortunately I'm not finding an email from you with the images. 1 starWORST OF THE WORST! Not only are they lacking in Customer Service, but the staff would rather die on the sword than admit there may have been a problem with the order. What happens to the customer is always right - not with the company - the customer is always wrong, and they have to prove that they are right. Katie S., Director of Operations, is just plain Nasty - Rude - and ARROGANT. Lacks any social skills and refuses under any condition to admit that there may have been a mistake. My favorite part was when I got an email from Katie S. unsolicited that instructed me to buy my bulbs elsewhere. Ding Ding Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. No kidding. A lot of money is spent on advertising, but they must pay some funds for customer service training.****. Let alone, their calls are routed outside of the US to folks who speak very poor English and do everything they can not to route the call. More than anything, Kaite S. is the WORST. I hope she is "family" - otherwise, they could counsel and replace her. There are plenty of companies to buy bulbs from, given that I planted over 3500 bulbs. --- I don't expect them to survive if they come from such a toxic environment. I recommend to anyone who reads this to buy elsewhere or not have high expectations (aka throwing your money away), BRECKS, or any other company online. This matter could have been resolved quickly with the comment, "I am sorry you are having difficulties - let's see what we can do to make it right - instead is - you're wrong - we are right - and if you don't do as "we" request - you are going to remain wrong - because we are ALWAYS right. Spend less time on creating barriers and asking folks to "send photos' - and correct the problem. Folks, by making it suitable - instead of making it wrong - you will win over folks instead of losing them. TERRIBLE - Simple a TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.
