I ordered a golf course map and paid $230 for the map on Nov 15, 2023 after their Rep advised me my order would be ready before Christmas. I did not receive by the week of Christmas and was advised when I called it would be Dec 29th. Did not arrive and I was then advised it would be mid Jan, did not arrive and was then told it would ship on Feb 13. It did not ship on Feb 13 and I am now advised it will be mid March. I have been told so many lies by this company, the worst being I would have it in time for Christmas. They continued to advertise you could order for Christmas all the way to the end of Nov KNOWING the could not deliver. Absolute fraudulent advertising at best an outright money grabbing at worst. Im not sure at this point if they are even a legitimate company. People need to be aware of their horrible customer service - they have me locked in as they sent a card at Christmas to provide to the gift recipient that their map is on the way. They need to stop the fraudulent advertising and tell customers their order is going to taken over 4 months to receive-Initial Complaint

I ordered and paid for an engraved map on 10/6/2023 and the website stated a 7-21 day turnaround.** 10/23 I was told it would be 2 months. ** 12/7 was told it should ship by 12/15. ** 12/18 was told to expect early Jan. ** 1/3 was told to expect it late ***. ** 1/24 was told it should ship by 2/3. ALL of these updates were provided only after I emailed the company. ** 1/26 the status changed to 'In Production". Since 2/5 I have sent 5+ emails and left voicemail messages (the phone is not monitored or answered) and have recieved NO response. The status still shows in production. It has been 4 months since this company collected my money, the product has not been delivered, and the company just pushes the expected delivery date back further.Initial Complaint

Our maps are custom made to order. Our website clearly states that the processing time is 7 to 21 business days as a minimum time for production on our FAQ Page. We apologize for the delayed response. we received a high influx of orders and messages this holiday season and as a small, family owned business we are trying to get back to everyone in a timely manner. All orders are being prioritized by the date they were received. We replied to your only email, which was sent to us on January 27, **** asking if we are legitimate business and if it is normal for the order to show status awaiting fulfillment. We did respond on 2/12 and the map was actually shipped the same day and you were sent a tracking number 1ZC302R20303732837. It is due to be delivered on February 16, ****. Our maps are non refundable once the map is in production as it is listed in our FAQ page. Our product page also has this disclosure: * Each map is custom made to order - Please allow 7 to 21 business days minimum for production if an actual photo of you map is shown. Due to popular demand, current ship times are up to 45 days and as much as 60 days for maps that have to be designed (if a representative image is shown). We are working diligently to clear up backorders and improve on new order ship times. Please look to our FAQ page for any further details and policies. Thank you so much for your patience!

I made a purchase on September 21, 2023 of a lake map from Sportsman's Connection and was charged $169.95. I emailed multiple times asking for status (once in response to their confirmation email, and once through their website). They finally responded on November 16th that they were backed up, and there would be a delay. I indicated on December 1st that I would like my order cancelled as I needed it by Christmas. They did not respond to me. I contacted them again on December 5th asking for a status of the cancellation, and again, they said they had so many messages that they didn't see it, and the order shipped. I wrote back that I would need to return it as soon as I received it, as I had already ordered a replacement, but did not hear back.On December 27th, I put in an official return request. After hearing nothing, I contacted them again on January 19th asking for a status update on my return request. I still have not received any communication from them, or a refund. I just want my money back and want to give them their product back. They have delayed it so much that I don't think I can go through my credit card company.Business Response

As these are custom made to order products we state in our FAQ section on our website that "For a design that has not been done before, or during high-transaction, gift-giving periods, the wait time is extended depending on the complexity of the map. This is usually listed as a minimum of **** business days but current ship dates are as much as 45 days. Maps that have not yet been designed - typically those with representative images in the product descriptions - are running closer to ***** days to ship, although we are increasing production to greatly improve upon that over the next several weeks. Please keep in mind that these are custom designed and made-to-order art pieces with countless unique factors, so actual production timelines can vary." This is also stated underneath each product listed on our website.
All of our maps are made to order. We work hard on each design as every order is catered to the customer. Therefore, we cannot accept returns or refund requests once production has begun." Ordered an engraved map of the ************ for my son for Christmas on 11/6/2023, Item is not received nor status updated as of 1/23/24. I spoke to someone at ************ AND ************** on two separate occasions prior to Christmas. This person explained that they were a small family owned business and were inundated with Christmas orders for the larger maps and had to buy three additional machines to keep up with the orders. According to their message, orders placed prior to 11/15/2023 would be received by Christmas. They emailed a "postcard" to print for Christmas. On 1/5/24, I emailed them and received a response that they marked my order as "urgent". I tried to reach out again on 1/19/24 and received an reply form "no-reply@scmaps" email that they are too busy to answer emails. Their phones are no longer manned and calls are being sent to voicemail after a rather lengthy email. The total cost was $469.95 and i did file a dispute with my credit card company on 1/22/24 but am concerned since the original charge was done on 11/9/23..Business Response

While we said on the phone that we could not guarantee orders placed after 11/15 we were working overtime to get out as many maps as possible. However, we were producing orders in the order in which they were received and our manpower and machinery could not keep up which led to a slight delay. I ordered a laser cut map from Sportsmans connection on November 4 just before Christmas. They said they could not get it in time for Christmas and I would have it the first week of January now the order has disappeared from our account. I dont see it anywhere. I have paid for this product, they promised me polyurethane because it was late. Ive been calling writing no one has called me back. I dont have the product and they have my money. They were also supposed to actually ship this to the person that we bought it for a Christmas gift for that I was totally embarrassed about not having it for Christmas , this is the second one I bought from this company first one was delivered. On November 7, 2023, I placed an order for a custom map of a 9-hole golf course. This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my husband. It is January 19, ****, and my order status STILL says Awaiting Fulfillment. I have called the company's numbers (all listed on their website) several times, left several messages, emailed them three times, and I even posted on their FB page. I have received zero response. I am exceptionally disappointed. I am assuming at this point that it is a scam. I paid over $300 for the map, and my account was charged the very next day. To this point, I have still not heard from anyone with this company, spoken with no one, no return emails, no comment on my FB post. I placed an order for a custom engraved map on November 29th, 2023, of a local lake for my dads birthday for $289.95. To date, I have not received my order. I have also received zero response from multiple emails from both myself and my husband asking for an update on this order. I have also attempted calling multiple times to ask for an update, which is an automated message that ultimately disconnects the call after waiting on hold for approximately 10 minutes. I am feeling very strongly that this business is fraudulent. I am requesting some sort of communication or explanation as to why this is happening. I submitted my order on December 3, 2023 totaling 1 map and $159.95. (order #******, wooden map of Gratiot Lake, 15" x 22", natural finish, no custom message) I received a confirmation email the same day 12/3/23, and an order update the following day 12/4/23 that stated my order was "awaiting fulfillment." Not a single update from the company since then. Nor will they reply to email or phone calls asking for an update on my order. They did FINALLY ship my complete order, however they made 2 spelling errors on the map, so my order is not yet satisfied as complete. The name of the lake is spelled correctly on my order form and in a couple areas on the map but then not spelled correctly in 2 other areas on the map. I've requested a remake or a 100% refund via email but I'm not very hopeful they will even respond. I'm happy to return the map on their dime since it is their mistake.
