      Used U-Haul to move and it was the worse plan! First there was no truck less then 24hr before move time (yes I freaked out) but after asking for a manager all of asunder there was one but 35 miles away ok fine ( added cost to **** 35 mil instead of 1.2) get there and the tank was empty. Also the Dollies and blankets I pre paid for where not available like promised. Not a great start. I then call the number I was given to get my money back for the Dollies/blankets because the pick up couldnt do that. I paid $27 dollars and only got back $25. I was told because there was no gas that I got a $50 dollar credit ok great makes it a little better. I was old to bring it back with 1/3 back for credit. When I went to return truck I was hit with a refueling fee and cleaning fee. When I asked about this they said it was standard for cleaning but I had to return truck with 2/3. I was quoted 127 for the truck and ended up paying 215.On top of that I also put in 140 in gas. I spent well over double and was given more of a headache then ever needed!

      Hi *****,I'm so sorry to hear about the hassle you went through with scheduling and then the issues during the pickup process. I completely understand how frustrating that must have been for you.Typically, our trucks are dispatched at the same fuel level as theyre returned. If a truck has less than a tank when you pick it up, we provide a fuel credit, and youre expected to bring it back at or more. If its returned below that, the fuel credit gets charged ******* your case, while the truck wasnt returned at of a tank, it did come back with more fuel than it had at dispatch. Because of that, I went ahead and issued a partial refund for the fuel charge. I also made sure to refund the sales tax for the support items you didnt receive.Regarding the cleaning fee, Ive already flagged this and shared it with the management team, who will follow up with you directly.Again, Im truly sorry for the inconvenience this caused. If theres anything else I can do to help, please let us know.

      I rented 2 10' truck within a month to move some things from storage. Both times, the gas levels were not correct. Its difficult to get mileage and fuel level in a single pic. (you're only allowed 1 pic). The mileage was different as well with 1 of the trucks. It seems they have numerous charges to increase the final bill, we'll buying the 19 99. It turns into $80-100 real quick.

This is to ensure you're charged correctly based on your actual usage. If you find it challenging to document this accurately, please don't hesitate to ask the location for assistance or reach out to our **************** Team, who are available 24/7 via chat. You can even take pictures with your phone and send them to the chat team to be uploaded into the contract.I'm really sorry for any frustration you experienced during the rental process.       I apologize, let me clarify, the rental period charge will change based on the type of equipment rented. The $19.95 was based on the size of truck during this particular rental.

      I received terrible customer service from ********************** located in ********,**. Last month I ordered a 15 foot truck and specified I needed a ramp for loading furniture. I paid for this service by credit card when ordering the vehicle, I was quoted the cost would be $133. plus tax. Also, the vehicle would not be available until around 8 AM. On the evening before the pick up date, I received a text stating I was that I was to receive a 10 foot truck, not a 15 foot vehicle at a different location. I immediately called the N0. *********** U-Haul and complained about this. An employee reassured me that I would receive a 15 foot vehicle. On the morning of pick up 17 May, I was told I was to receive a 10 foot truck without a ramp and the manager attempted to charge me double, $266. which I refused! This vehicle would not be available until 10AM. With other larger trucks on the lot, I was refused a request for another vehicle and had to accept the smaller truck even though I had paid in advance for a 15 foot truck. I was unable to move all my property due to the smaller size truck. The vehicle I did receive had dried mud and dirt in the interior, also broken mirror pieces and dirt in the box. I had to accept this filthy ******************************************************************** with loading. Later I attempted to contact the manager at the ************************************** location, several times to request a refund for use of the smaller truck. He apparently refused to answer my call to resolve this problem! Also I was charged $20.92 for the Colorado State Road Safety Program Fee. I complained to the manager at the time of pick up, about the amount of this fee. He did not respond. This fee should have been two dollars per day for rental vehicles. I believe I should have been compensated for the difference in price for receiving a smaller truck.

      I rented a U-Haul in ********, ********, just to throw old furniture in and take it to the dump now remind me the U-Haul facility was 1.1 miles from where I went to use it at after I loaded it. I went 2.1 miles and dumped it 1.2 miles was the U-Haul facility and I was done now they say and I went 200 miles plus and I went less than 6 miles did not have to refuel because the gas gauge never even moved from what I did and now theyre trying to charge me $200 and then you cant get a straight answer from anyone. Thank you.

      I had U-Haul ship 4 U-Boxes from ************, ********** to *****, ******. The U-Boxes had a guaranteed delivery date of June 7 but on June 7 we were told that delivery had been delayed. We also were told by U-Haul that they didnt know where the U-Boxes are located and can not provide a date when they will be delivered. I feel we are being lied to and they are hiding the truth from us. This is the very last time that we will do any business with You-Haul.

      I had a reservation set for 10:30 in the morning. When I got there, they had nothing for me.Around noon, they finally took one of there trailers tags off of it and said we could take it that it was "fine."We get all the way home, open the door and it was infested with roaches! Come to find out, that trailer was not supposed to leave the lot dues to the bugs! Thank God, they all came out before we started loading our stuff in.We take the trailer back and are given another trailer that was not supposed to be on the road due to a giant hole in the side of it. We had to be out of our apartment that day, so we had no choice but to take it.I payed for the truck, got moved then they have the audacity to charge me another $85.00.I called them a couple days ago and they gave me $50 of my money back for not having my reservation ready. Well, today I get charged $119 and I am told if it's not paid it will be sent to collections! I am beyond furious. I have pics and videos of both trailers we recieved and even a vide of the conversation with the manager telling us to take the one with the hole in it because the other one was infested with roaches. This is ridiculous! I have reached out to have this fixed once, nothing was done except giving me $50 for my reservation not being ready, but then turn around and charge me $119 more! Absolutely, do NOT use this company. You will recieve crappy equipment and even worst customer service!.

      If you are reserving **** for interstate move, you are on your own coordinating pickup and delivery schedule with local locations.I called my local location in ******* to schedule a pickup. Since nobody was picking up the phone at that location, I was transferred to central customer care. I made clear to them that I have 2 Box in a ******* location and I want to schedule a pickup for these boxes. I made this clear to them because I have another 2 Box in ******** from where I am moving. Central customer care transferred me to delivery scheduling. It turned out that they transferred me to ******** location, and they told they cannot schedule for ******* location (I had similar experiences earlier when I called U-Haul, this time at this point I was frustrated and little rude to the person I was talking to). I told them I don't care which location I am talking to since I was transferred by their central customer care, but that person got irritated and transferred me to another number. This time I started conversation asking which location am I talking to. Person on the other side said, she is not at any location. I explained the reason for calling, and she ended the call saying she is at ******* location and it was not their location handling my box, so she can't do scheduling for me and transferred me to another number. Again I started the conversation with next person asking which location he is at. He replied he is not at any location. I told him what happened with last person. Anyway this person was able to schedule the box pickup. In summary, I started dialing my local UHaul location and after being transferred multiple times, I think I ended with local location where I started.This is my experience with just last call with U-Haul. I had to call them multiple times during this move and experience have been same. After one of my previous calls, I had logged a complaint with them regarding my experience, not sure what happened to that.

      **************** screwed up yet again. I called yesterday (06/15) to schedule delivery of two boxes(additional boxes I mentioned in my initial review) that is now in *******, **. Instead of scheduling the delivery for those two boxes, they scheduled delivery of a brand new *******# AB1845G and AB1591A

      To the U-Haul Team at *****************************:On May 24th at 10:00 AM, I rented a pickup truck from your location and returned it at 12:30 PM in perfect condition. A walkthrough was completed with your staff, who confirmed there was no damage. I was charged the agreed-upon $35.Five hours later, I received a voicemail claiming the truck was damaged and I now owed $714.14framed as a discounted rate. When I called for clarification, your manager, ******, was dismissive, condescending, and accused me of dishonesty. My valid questions about the timeline and your staffs failure to note any damage during the walkthrough were ignored.I was told I wouldnt be charged until I received further contact. No one followed up. Instead, I woke up to a pending charge of over $1,200 with no explanation, no documentation, and no photos.This charge is completely unwarranted. The handling of this situation including the lack of communication, sudden inflated billing, and disrespectful treatment is both unethical and possibly illegal. Ive submitted a formal complaint and will pursue further action if this is not resolved immediately.******* behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. I urge U-Haul to investigate this matter and take corrective action.Sincerely,********* ****

      Use PENSKE ONLY.I will NEVER use U-Haul again! Terrible company! Terrible service!Terrible not guaranteeing trucks!Terrible when their system goes down for an entire day and no reservation can be made!They found a truck an hour away and we would have to go pick it up during rush hour the next morning to meet our movers at 8 to be on time to meet our other moving company six hours away! I spent 10 hours trying to reserve a truck and still couldnt until 10:30 at night!. They still couldnt guarantee it! The next day they said we would have to go pick it up and pay for the extra day even though we couldnt use it until the next morning. There is no way to get the truck that early!Penske gave us 4 days for a little more and they guaranteed the truck! We now have our truck!Never ever use U-HAUL!
