      My issue was UHAUL took it upon theirselves and change my pick up location less than 24hours notification when there was 10 inch trucks available at my original pick up location. My mileage that I already calculated for my trip was for my original pick up location was off. I was able to speak to Paty where she able to give me a credit for the inconvenience. But to have UHAUL to turn around and said I owe $25 for going over by 1 mile. But I would of never went over if they didn't change my pick up location.

      Abandoned on the side of the highway over night Dont ever rent from U-haul. Ive been broke down on the side of 495 in a northeaster storm for over 7 hours and still no solution from roadside assistance. It started at 5:30pm and at 12:31am I am still stranded here. They keep saying we are getting a mechanic or we are working on the tow truck but yet here I sit in a truck with no power, no heat in 37 degrees and pouring rain. They offered a ******************************************** **** deliver food to us on the side of the highway but yet cant get us off the highway. The truck didnt even have ****** miles on it. Save yourself the pain and go with Penske or literally anyone else. H*** most dont even charge miles. Absolutely garbage

      I work for you all and so far I enjoy my job my boss is great my coworkers are great. However this is not a place that offers any kind of a future we have these shiny postcards on the counter saying start your career with U-Haul but yet the owner of the company *** ****** makes it clear that we are nothing but moonlighters. He doesn't realize that employee development translates into positive morale which translates into good customer service which translates into Happy customers which translates into good business. He has his derogatory term called moonlighters which is what he refers to all of his part-timers. He caps part-timers hours at 24 hours which is barely enough to survive on and I'm not sure why. You all does not have to worry about overtime or benefits until you get close to 40 hours it would be nice if I could make 30 to 35 hours until I find a job with more of a full-time opportunity. I do like the culture I do like the people but I will say that I worked for another family-owned business, Enterprise Rent-A-Car who is 100% employee-centric. ********** is 100% vested and its employee success which it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know or understand that happy employees are going to put more of themselves into making a successful business. Now I understand that you all doesn't need any help becoming a successful business and they don't have as much competition as the car rental companies do.

      I rented a truck for a few hours to move a washing machine. They lied about the gas gauge and took advantage of me. I drove 48 miles and put 4 gallons of gas back into the truck. After I turned the truck back in the rude guy checking me in charged me another 4 gallons of gas for a $20 cost. This is a bad practice

      For a 7am pick up we ordered a 20ft truck, 6 furniture pads, and an appliance dolly. The day before the pick up the U-Haul agent switched us to a 23ft truck ("upgraded for free as there were no 20ft trucks available that day"), and no dolly, never notified us of any change.Arrived at to find out there was a massive 23 ft truck (that didn't meet our needs and tremendously worsened the move) and no dolly whatsoever. Chatted with the chat support and was given a phone number to call. Spoke with ******** for 45+ minutes and was offered to drive 30+ minutes extra (without reimbursement) to a different location that opened at 9am with an appliance dolly, or wait till 9am at the current location to pick up a PROMISED appliance dolly. We had movers scheduled 8am-10am we had to cancel and had to lose our 50% deposit. Non refundable. Then, at 9am when the store opened, there was no appliance dolly, and they only had 2 smaller Dolly's available - so I had to take it and get back to the house to start moving. We are moving a 2 bedroom house and relocating 4 hours away, so every moment mattered. Now that we didn't have movers, we had to rush and do all the work between 2 people (my boyfriend and I) and lifting furniture without the proper equipment. We also couldn't park the MASSIVE 23ft truck in the alley adjacent to the house (it was too big to back into the alley, which is why we measured ahead of time and specifically ordered the 20ft truck) and had to park it on the street - obstructing traffic and making the job take extra hours and so much extra effort and hard work. After moving his desk into the U-Haul, my boyfriend fell down the ramp and broke his ankle. Which also means he couldn't finish helping me load the remaining 75% of our stuff, or help unload the U-Haul. Got offered a free storage unit for 1 month in the town we left (4 hours away) as our only form of compensation, how helpful. 0/10

      I rented a U-Haul truck for 24 hours, returned it on time, to the correct location, and with the same amount of gas it had when I picked it up. Despite following all the rules, I still havent received my deposit backand worse, they tried to charge me an extra $160 with no explanation. Luckily, my card was locked, so the charges didnt go *********** theyre sending me threatening emails about sending the debt to collections. For what? I met every single condition of the rental. No damage, no missing fuel, nothing late. This feels like a scam, and based on what Ive seen from other reviews, Im clearly not the only one.This company has lost my trust completely. I will never use U-Haul again and strongly recommend others think twice before renting from them. Keep every receipt, take photos, and lock your card if you have tobecause they clearly dont operate in good faith.

      I would give a negative star if I could. NIGHTMARE! The *** was not there when I arrived. Had to wait about 30 minutes for him. The blankets and dolly were not available (DID NOT GET THEM). When I returned the truck, still no *** to check the gas gauge and other items. I put the gas back to where it was when I picked up the truck. The truck was driven less than 20 miles. I'm a senior citizen so I didn't think about taking a picture of the gauge. My credit card was charged for the blankets, dolly and fuel and fuel service charge. The OVERCHARGE was $75.50. I have spent three days on the "chat" section trying to get this resolved. Finally got a refund of $12.60! Big whoop! FOR YOUR OWN FINANCIAL SAFETY, PLEASE RENT THE EQUIPMENT YOU NEED FROM ANYONE ELSE!

      Had a reservation that i wasnt guaranteed the timeframe do to Uhauls fault. Uhaul failed to give me the Reservation Guarantee after not meeting my reservation time i called multiple representatives and they all denied my guarantee instead wanted me to take a $20 voucher which i decline do better Uhaul

      These people steal your money we should start a consumer class action lawsuit I have a storage unit and they had the wrong address and I didnt update it from January up until today the unit went up $50 a month and I never got a notice and have been charged excessive late fees even when they wont update my address this company commits a lot of fraudulent antics to overcharge customers the Manager at the office is intentionally charging me excessive fees and not calling me back like she is being told to and Im over it this is a classless company with no loyalty or character THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND IM GOING TO SUE IF I CAN ITS ABSURD TO THINK THIS IS OK!!! And everyone is saying the same thing that U-HAUL Steals
