I purchased two Fan-to-Fan resale tickets through Ticketmaster for $283 each for the ******** concert at ************* in ******. These tickets were sold as standard view, but the reality was completely different. When I arrived, I saw a massive screen structure directly blocking my view of the stage, including most of the visual effects and even the fireworks show. This obstruction was not mentioned during the purchase process and was not shown on the seat map. Ive attached a photo from my seat that clearly shows how bad the view was.Additionally, my LED wristband never worked, a crucial component of the ******** experience. I tried to resolve the issue during the event, but was sent back and forth between guest services and levels. I was crying, running around the stadium, and I missed some of the most meaningful songs, including Paradise which added to the overall frustration. When I returned to my seat, I still couldnt enjoy the concert due to the obstruction.Ticketmaster asked me to explain the issue, which I did in detail. Their final response was simply that Fan-to-Fan resale tickets arent refundable unless the event is cancelled, and that I should have talked to staff at the venue. But I did speak to the staff. And more importantly, this wasnt a venue issue it was Ticketmasters responsibility to disclose obstructions during the purchase process.Fan-to-Fan or not, Ticketmaster controls the platform, listings, and pricing. I chose to pay more and use Ticketmaster because I trusted them to be transparent and reliable, unlike smaller, less trustworthy resale websites. I expected basic honesty and customer support. Instead, I received a vague, dismissive response and no accountability. This concert was meant to be a special birthday celebration for a friend, and instead it became an incredibly stressful and disappointing night. Im requesting a refund based on the failure to disclose the seat obstruction and the overall poor experience.Business Response

I purchased 6 tickets in May to an Angels baseball game 6/28/25 for $538.74. My family is unable to attend this game as we had to cancel our entire 2 week vacation to care for a dying family member. My husbands father is very ill having just been diagnosed with rapidly progressing stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. He requires constant care. I first contacted Ticketmaster on 6/9/25. They first told me that they couldnt help because the tickets had already been transferred to the *** app and I would need to call the Angels box office. When I contacted them, they said that was not true. I used the online chat, talked to a customer service *** and escalated my refund request. Ive spent hours on the phone or chat trying to get a refund just to keep getting the run around. Then they acknowledged that it wasnt the Angels issue but they claim that some event organizer wont allow them to refund me. But they cant tell me who this is or why they cant or how to contact them. They basically just pushed me off and said they will not refund me and they cannot. I asked for it to be escalated and they said there is no one at all that can help me they basically took my money and are earning interest off of it for over a month now and will not give it back when I need to cancel. This is an unavoidable situation with having an immediate family member actively passing away and needing our constant care. There should be more compassion and a way to offer a refund in these unique situations.Business Response

Hello,
I am in receipt of your
recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for
bringing your concerns to our attention.Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. After checking our your
order, I see that this is an event that Ticketmaster doesn't sell the primary
tickets for. You purchased your tickets from another fan who posted them for
sale on our marketplace. We can only process refunds if the event cancels, and
at this time I see that your event is still taking place.Thank
you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
I did not buy the tickets from another fan. I bought them from Ticketmaster. I have no way to know who they got them from or be able to contact them directly. Since I bought these tickets from Ticketmaster, I expect them to be able to resolve an issue and offer a refund especially in the extreme case of a severe medical diagnosis that requires constant care from my family.

Hello Melissa,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I have reviewed this complaint and the related order, 3000-0646-7310-8711-3. Regretfully, we cannot assist with a refund for your order as this type of resale orders are non-refundable.
The tickets were purchase on the Ticketmaster website, however the tickets are resale tickets that were purchased from a trusted seller. Refunds are only available if the event is canceled.

I am rejecting this response because I bought the tickets from Ticketmaster not the reseller. Unfortunately we have a severe medical situation where we are required to care for a dying family member. Ticketmaster has the ability to sell tickets and has the ability to refund them as well.

I listed 2 tickets for sale through Ticketmaster for $1147, the tickets solid and they confirmed a payout of $1147 (as noted in email attachment) but only received $22. I asked to escalate to management however was told it was final with no explanation as to how or why $22 was reimbursed. No recourse.Business Response

I hope this finds you well. My name is ******* ****, a ******* resident who is a victim of fraud enabled by Ticketmaster. I purchased three tickets for ********'s concert on October 15, 2024 (order number: 3000-0612-8333-4001-2) on July 27, 2025. These tickets totaled $1,820.26. On October 31, 2024, at 6:45 p.m., the tickets were transferred to another account without authorization. The tickets were transferred to ***** ******** using the email ******************** I called TicketMaster customer service on December 1, 2024, to resolve this unauthorized transfer of tickets. No solution was offered. I called back the next day to attempt to understand the steps the customer service fraud department would take to recover the tickets or refund the total amount. The customer service representative ensured a supervisor would call back at a later date to recover the tickets to my account, send a replacement, or offer a refund for the total amount of the tickets. The customer service supervisor never called. In an attempt to recover the tickets, I called again on February 11, 2025. The customer service representative claimed the tickets were still under review and could not give an update on when the fraud would be resolved. When confronted with information that the ticket transfer was not stopped or flagged after I called on December 1st, 2024, the customer service representative abruptly ended the call. The tickets have not been recovered, and no replacement or refund has been offered. On June 25, 2025, I called TicketMaster for an update on the tickets. The customer service representative claimed their system resolved the situation, but my tickets are still transferred to "***** ********." The representative claimed to escalate my issue, but each representative has repeated the same lie. I could not reach a customer service supervisor and was again promised a supervisor would call me back with an ********* of June 25, 2025, no update has been given.Business Response

I bought the ticket on 11/22/24 for $358.40. The concert was held despite an excessive heat warning. There was limited water, cooling stations, and medics available causing hazardous conditions. The concert was ended early due to the heat advisory. The conditions at this concert were dangerous and negligent.Business Response

Hello *******,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Ticketmaster thanks you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
I am sorry for the experience you had with this show due to the extreme heat.
We understand that youre looking for a resolution in the form of a refund. Ticketmaster sells tickets on behalf of event organizers, who set refund rules. Unfortunately, the Event Organizer for this event is not authorizing us to issue refunds.
I am able to refund added fees on the order in the amount of $58.90. You should see the refund within 5-7 business days to the method of payment you used when purchasing.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.
Sincerely,
******* K

I saw an advertisement for a comedian to come to local theater and ordered tickets - I thought, through Ticketmaster - but apparently through some secondary market - presales. I saw the email subjects, Order Summary, Order Confirmed, and then an email from Ticketmaster saying "Mamoun sent you tickets for **** *******" Another from Ticketmaster saying "Youre all set to see **** *******" From TicketMaster "Event Reminder" and finally from TicketMaster "Urgent Ticket Update - Get Your Tickets..." I made a single order with my credit card, and it was placed with Ticketmaster with 2 orders - first order for 1 ticket and then second order for 2 tickets. I missed the finer details. I thought I ordered through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster was mentioned in the emails. Ticketmaster sent me emails about my order. The scammer "Ticketscenteronline" mentioned verified, authentic, etc. - I saw ************* and with all the confusing language, I ASSUMED it was a department of Ticketmaster. I did think it was odd that ****** was sending tickets, but there they were, my tickets from Ticketmaster. I assumed they had some kind of broker or something - NO CLUE THEY WERE SCALPING ME!Ticketmaster is fully aware of this scam - as you can see in the emails. And, today on the phone, they essentially said there is nothing they can do. And to add insult to injury, the tickets are TERRIBLE!Business Response

Hello,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
I see that your tickets were transferred to you (rather than purchasing your tickets from Ticketmaster), so Im unable to refund your order. Ticketmaster only facilitated the ticket transfer. Once tickets were accepted, Ticketmaster will send email reminders for your upcoming events. However, this does not necessarily mean tickets were purchased through Ticketmaster.
If you paid someone else for your tickets, reach out and see if you can get a refund from them or if they offer other options. If the event cancels, postpones, reschedules or moves, and refunds are approved by the Event Organizer, we'll refund the original purchaser of the tickets.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.

I purchased 8 Verified Resale Tickets through Ticketmaster for the Slightly Stoopid concert in *************, ******* on June 29, 2025. I paid $1595.84. The tickets are still not downloadable, cannot be transferred and no barcode has been provided. I cannot verify the purchase is real or usable. The event is days away, and attempts to contact Ticketmaster have been ignored. In the meantime, the exact same tickets are now available through Ticketmaster for $475 less. This is not just a financial issue. It is affecting my health. I have a heart condition, and this stressful situation has caused anxiety and physical discomfort.I no longer want to attend this event. This experience has been overwhelming and distressing, and I am not interested in store credit. I am requesting a full refund due to non-delivery of the product and the extreme stress this situation has caused. If Ticketmaster does not respond with a refund, I will be filing a dispute through my credit card provider. I am asking for this situation to be resolved immediately without further interaction.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Unfortunately, I find it unsatisfactory and inconsistent. I was told that my tickets would not be released until June 29the same day as the concert. This delay was stressful and unacceptable, especially considering that I am attending with my family, including small children, and I have a heart condition that makes stress particularly harmful for me. I included this in my original complaint because it was a real concern.
Strangely, after I submitted the BBB complaint, the tickets were suddenly releaseddays earlier than Ticketmaster had said was possible. This makes it clear that the delay was unnecessary and only resolved once I escalated the issue. Its frustrating to feel like customer concerns only matter when a third party gets involved.
Also troubling is that I have since seen the same tickets available on Ticketmaster for over $400 less. I bought through Ticketmaster because I trusted the platform, but this experience feels misleading and unfair.
I am requesting a partial refund to reflect the price discrepancy or an appropriate resolution to acknowledge the stress and inconvenience this situation has caused.
Sincerely,

Hello,
I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
After checking our your order, I see that this is an event that Ticketmaster doesn't sell the primary tickets for. You purchased your tickets from another fan who posted them for sale on our marketplace. When tickets are ready, fans receive the tickets directly from the third party provider through email.
Follow the instructions in that message to create an account using the same email address that you used to purchase your tickets on **************************. Youll need to install their app and create an account to access your tickets.

I have tickets for ******* concert in ***********. They cancelled and then rescheduled the show. They did send an email that I have the option for a refund. The exact wording states that I have through June 25 to request a refund. I tried to do it today and it wouldnt work. I called ticketmaster and they stated it is actually only to 12AM, so basically what they meant was through June 24. This is all clearly worded in all of their communication there really is no other interpretation. They are refusing to refund me stating the organizer is telling them no.Business Response
