I tried to purchase tickets 3 times for a Stevie Nicks concert that is taking place on Oct 22. Each time the system said it had an error and couldn't complete the transaction. Within 30 minutes all the tickets were sold and then being re-sold at triple the original value. This is ridiculous and should not be allowed. Who in the world could afford to pay $700 for a ticket that was originally supposed to cost $199. All I wanted was 2 tickets and now I can't even get those because ticketmaster allows scalpers to buy these tickets and then triple the pricesBusiness Response

I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, during the purchase process tickets may be purchased by other fans and take time to show that they are purchased on the seating map. That will cause an error message instructing fans to try to repurchase. We cannot control the tickets fans are selecting, but advise to select different tickets to purchase. Lastly, once a ticket is purchased fans are allowed to list their tickets for resell at any amount above face value. (If resell is allowed by the promoter.)

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand allowing customers to resale purchased tickets in the event something comes up that keeps them from attending the event however allowing them to do so right after the initial purchase is what causes scalpers to do what they do. It's absolutely ridiculous that this is allowed therefore knocking true fans of an entertainer out of being able to attend because prices are so high...way higher than the original price. I'm sure pockets are getting lined otherwise your company wouldn't allow it.
Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/08) */
I am sorry you weren't able to secure tickets to Stevie Nicks at the face value. As long as the event provider allows resale of the tickets, we allow any purchaser to place their tickets for sale. As the event gets closer, those prices might come down due to the seller wanting to sell the tickets they hold. There are no refunds on the event.
Thanks,
Robin

************* Ticketmaster misleads and misrepresents a sales feature at the end of the transaction to purchase event tickets from them. "To obtain protection" for our tickets of $680, the Yes and No box options do not indicate the difference between options; choosing Yes showed no change to our purchase price. Then later I received an email invoice from an underwriter for purchasing $32 in insurance that we do not want or need, not agreed to. 1/2 hr of searching for recourse or correction on Ticketmaster's website in My Account merely looped through generic FAQ blurbs; no contact number, email or text body is offered. The underwriter is not open at this time; it probably wouldn't even have Ticketmaster's referral yet. Ticketmaster must correct their text prompts to clarify; and they must not loop through irrelevant ticket insurance themes for the "Contact Us" instructions in My Account. This issue causes us irretrievably lost time and effort to correct. We want Ticketmaster to undertake responsibility for refunding that charge if the insurance company cannot or will not, or if it takes another hour of time and follow up to do so. I may be able to afford the cost, but this bad business practice of Ticketmaster slyly deceiving their customers to upsell an unwanted product is shameful and stirs us up to widely discredit their bad business practice. Their language and presentation are more sneaky than any towhee business that offers insurance for a purchase, as those other businesses I've encountered clearly state that the option involves a separate additional purchase. What does Ticketmaster say; how will they respond?Business Response

I am simply responding "No" to highlight their lack of focus on our complaint, while instead copying a stock reply. I'm fine to close this case. Thank you very much for all of your helpful resources for us consumers.

I am sorry you did not want the insurance. The price should have shown how much the price for the insurance was. It does ask if you want the insurance or not.

I resold concert tickets through Ticketmaster and they haven't released the funds to me. No matter what they instruct me to do, I follow their directive, then they tell me I shouldn't have done what they told me to do. For instance, they told me to delete my bank account and enter a new one....I did so....then the next rep tells me I shouldn't have done that. I feel as if I am getting the runaround from them and would like the funds deposited into my checking account as asked. Unfortunately I do not know how to upload the 12 emails from them...but they are all there showing how each person has told me to do something different than the previous rep.Business Response

Hi yes I had previously put in a complaint because I had sold tickets from Ticketmaster and was unaware of the fact they would have to wait until the event happened in order to be paid which makes no sense anyways, I was then advised that it would take up to seven days after the event well I am a week after the event now and I have still not been paid or have had any updates. I would like my money back, would you be able to help me with this issue? It's very hard to contact the company as well as the only way is for email I have emailed them in the past I've been unable to get a response so I would really just like to be paid for the tickets
There were 3 tickets sold. I am expecting the 400$.Business Response

I sold tickets on the Ticketmaster site and the concert was June 21st, 2022. I was told I'd have the $350 proceeds deposited into my account within 7-10 days. I have reached out to their customer service at least 4 times and keep getting generic responses. My account is verified, meaning my tax id and bank account is confirmed.

This is the same generic response I got from their customer service 4-5 different times. No one can tell me if my checking account is 'verified' or not as the latest rep said they need to send deposits for me to verify. I already went through this process weeks ago and verified the account, which then let's them send the funds.
The amount of time I've spent on a simple request is really amazing.

We purchased tickets from Ticketmaster online on 07/31/2020 for a Tedeschi Trucks concert for that evening in Morrison, CO, then the concert was cancelled and rescheduled to 2022. Call to Ticketmaster's ********* at 1:03 and asked how we could get our tickets as the concert was rescheduled to this weekend. She said she had no record of the purchase, until I told her we had an email receipt showing our payment to ticketmaster for the amount of $186.59, purchased on 07/31/2020 with an invoice number of RES/*****************. Then ********* acknowledged our ticket purchase for two tickets to the Tedeschi Trucks concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison Colorado which was rescheduled for July 29, 2022. She said the tickets actually come from AXS, that I would need to download the AXS app & create an account to find our tickets. I did so and couldn't find out tickest so I called AXS & spoke with ****** who said TIcketmaster had never released our tickets to AXS and suggested I call Ticketmaster back. I called Ticketmaster back & spoke with ******** who said they have until 24 hours prior to the concert to release our tickets and that our concert was rescheduled for Saturday, July 30, 2022. We arrived at the concert venue on Friday, July 29th and was told by AXS at the box office that there is no record of our purchase from ticketmaster and to attend the concert we had to buy new tickets, which we did. Requesting a refund from Ticketmaster for $186,59. AXS also said they frequently experience this sort of problem from Ticketmaster.Business Response

I purchased four tickets for Machine Gun Kelly for his concert in Saint Paul, MN on Thursday, July 28th. I sold 2 of them, and my plan was to try and sell the other 2 or go myself if they did not sell. They did not sell, so I was planning on attending myself or giving the tickets to a family member. Well the day of the concert came, and I planned on going but was unable to access my tickets. The buttons to retrieve my tickets or to transfer were greyed out and I was unable to do either. I contacted Ticketmaster and did not hear back until 2 hours into the concert time, so it would have been too late to attend. So I was unable to access my tickets to even go! Customer service was very unhelpful and advised no refunds! Easy for you to say when you weren't the one not having access to tickets you purchased!Business Response

My dad paid $80 for two tickets for a concert for my birthday. The concert was in Las Vegas, almost 9 hours away from where I live. I made reservations and spent $1200 for accommodations for the trip. The concert was changed to a different date. I cannot make the new date and we had until 7/30/2022 to request a refund. A refund cannot be processed as my dad does not have the same card anymore. We are seeking to get a refund to his ticket master account directly. There is no live support to explain the issue with ticket master and no online support for this. I have contact led them through there chat with no resolution and now no response.Business Response

I am sorry you are unable to attend. Yes the refund window closed on 7.30. I see the tickets were transferred to you and refunds are not available for transferred tickets only on the original account once tickets are returned to sender.
Refunding to a card/account that is closed is available in our faq.

There was no way of finding this information. I tried finding a way to contact Ticketmaster to find out what to do and there is absolutely no way to get ahold of anyone to answer these questions without filing a complaint with BBB and that is entirely unethical. Please advise how to obtain a refund as I had been trying well before the deadline.
Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/08/05) */
Hello,
Please transfer the tickets back to your dad. Provide both order numbers and we will request a refund from the event organizer.
Any refund to be processed goes back to the same account used for purchase(closed or not). The bank can help you with that. We do not offer ticketmaster credits.
Thanks,
Dain
