I received an email 12/22 that stated my email associated with my account had been changed. I had not updated or changed any information on my Experian account so of course I knew my account was hacked. I immediately sent an email stating I was unable to access my account due to it being hacked and received a generic email response. After going back-and-forth with them several times and sending my information to confirm my identity, nothing has been done and I only received another generic email in response. I spent hours trying to speak to a live person, of course realizing that this would not happen. I tried to stay on top of the fact that my identity has been stolen and had already placed a freeze on my account. Now that I cannot access it I am unable to temporarily remove my freeze or access my personal information. I have a feeling this is going to last for a long time, and Im beyond frustrated at the lack of any assistance!! I should not have ever use them in the first place and regret giving them my personal information thinking it would be preventive! I was told if I sent them my information they could delete the account associated with my member ID#. Terrible service! The whole point was to help my credit and protect my identity, but they cant even prevent their own data breach or assist in mine. Do not use them!!

I signed with Experian for promises to raise my credit score. The result was the exact opposite. I had a score of 727 at the time and after three months my credit score from Experian was 698. In the meantime with ******* and TransUnion my score has gone up the 740 , 749 respectively. I also had four instances where my credit balances had been increased on a couple of my credit cards due to exceptional payment management , credit management and overall history. It really as appeared that my falling credit score with Experian was an attempt to prompt me to upgrade from the free account with limited services to the more costly account they advertise. When I called representatives gave me a lot of gobbledy g*** and no good explanations for what was occurring with Experian in contrast to all other credit sources. I consider Experian to be highly unethical in it's operations and strongly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

Signed up for the free account. Like so many others, missed the bit where they signed me up for an ongoing $25/month membership until I had already been charged multiple times. I expect there was fine print somewhere that I agreed to so that its technically legal, but as someone who also reads the fine print before agreeing to terms, it certainly wasnt obvious in the slightest.

I am subscribed as a customer to **********************, where I already have an alert on my account. I received an alert notification this morning about illegal filing of a credit report by a putative bank wanting to issue a credit card to an applicant. Experian sent both an email and a notification. When I called them, I had to spend three hours on eight telephone calls without getting my concerns addressed or any measure of help. Most of the eight people were barely competent in addressing client requests or capable of handling computer access. It was impossible to determine why I received the alert until on-call six I was provided the information stated in the *************** was left to me to decide whether the illegal issued report was fraudulent and when I asked to speak to the fraud alert department, was transferred on three occasions without reaching anybody. The illegal inquiry damaged my customer rating and multiple attempts to get the issue resolved, was unsuccessful.

Experian is essentially holding people's credit hostage and, due to their extremely poor customer service, cannot quickly fix any of the issues created by their own inability to manage their business.

Awful, why should I have to pay for something that Im forced into having? In addition, you cant change your membership without calling; I dont have time for that. My mother is lucky to get a call from me once a week why would I want to call and sit in the phone for hours trying to make something free that already should of been?? Absolutely ridiculous, Ill stick with credit karma and credit sesame; plus because of the 2017 experian data breach my identity was stolen and I still have yet to see any of the $5,000 it cost me. So yeah, yall are really doing a stand up job a**holes

Absolute trash. Do not even bother with them if you are trying to boost your credit. They are worthless and can't even find the most basic of bills.

A few months back I froze my credit with Experian. I was dealing with a company that had to pull a credit check. I told them that my credit was frozen. The person on the line said let me check if she can do anything without unfreezing the credit. She then told me that my Experian was not frozen and that she indeed pulled my credit. I went on the Experian web site to check and the site said that it was frozen. I tried to call and get a person to help me with the issue. After an half hour trying everything to speak with someone with no luck. I went back to the web site to see if I can get into a chat (no luck). I did find where I can send them a message (sent 5 messages NO LUCK) The site said I had an active duty alert on my credit not to mention that I was never in the service. The site however did try to get into my pocketbook to sell me upgrades.Sorry, but I cannot give even 1 star but I have to choose a star or I cannot submit the review.

Experian and the other companies sell our private information to mortgage and car loan companies. So every time you fill out a mortgage application and run your credit, you get 300+ solicitation calls. This is a complete invasion of privacy. I did not consent for them to share my private doings with the world.
