      I was notified by 2 credit card companies that this entity reported a hacking breach in my account, but I can find nothing further about them explaining why they reported this or how to remedy it. They only divulge that my email was breached and I should take steps to prevent loss. If they are alerting me, how do they have no further information? If I can't locate the breach without them, how do I know pertinent information to try to secure? And how do they know there's been a breach? I'm very concerned I am exposed and may have my accounts hijacked with bank accounts as well.

      I attempted to utilize this site however, it provided incorrect information regarding the person I was searching for. I canceled my membership immediately. Yet I was still charged several times. I had a great deal of difficulty with their website. I made several attempts to tell them. The information was incorrect. Im not even certain if it reached anyone? The website takes seemingly forever to provide information. The majority of the time it was not worth my time to sit and watch, its been. As I said the one and only time it provided the information requested it was incorrect. I do not feel I should be charged for incorrect information, especially since it is extremely difficult to speak with anyone from this company. Thank you.

      ******************* account has been canceled, but we are unable to refund the payments due to a pending chargeback.

      A chargeback is a dispute with their credit card provider, and they should receive an update directly from them regarding the resolution. Generally, the dispute process takes between four and five weeks.

      Credit Karma informed me my information with Equifax and TransUnion has been compromised as of January 2023. Instant Checkmate may have my banking account information. I was advised to freeze my accounts. How can I stop Instant Checkmate (whom Ive never heard of) from compromising my personal data? Ive been unsuccessful at Opting Out. Im 74 and dont want them sharing any of my information for any purposes.

      I have tried a number of times to get my personal information deleted from instant checkmate. I have communicated with instant checkmate through email requesting that my personal information be removed from their website. In one of the emails I received from their support, from an employee named *****, he informed me that they were able to locate a report and validate my request based on the information provided I had provided by email. A week goes by and I do a ****** search of my name and I see my personal information still on their website. I email a second time and get a response from a different employee by the name of ******* who informs me that their records indicate the requested information has been removed from the Instant Checkmate website, but this wasn't the case. This information could be used maliciously, which could in turn lead to stalking, identity theft and harassment. The information has been obtained and displayed without my consent. I urgently request that this information be removed from the instant checkmate website. I cannot stress enough the importance of protecting my privacy and personal information and the safety of my family. I will appreciate a quick resolution to this issue. Thank you

      Without my consent, all my personal and private information (including past and current: names, phone numbers, home addresses, email addresses, date of birth) are displayed on instantcheckmate.com's website. I emailed them multiple times from 3/6/2023 to 3/8/2023 to request the opt out of my profile and to remove completely all my private/personal information from their database and website. I even talked to their customer representative but nothing has been done. The supervisor on the phone claimed that this is a ****** problem and not theirs, which is hard to believe. I did request my information to be removed from some other similar businesses/websites and everything was removed instantly. Therefore, I don't understand what the supervisor was talking about. Since all my personal and private information is still displayed on their website, I am contacting BBB to report about this company's illegal practice of posting people's private/personal information without prior consents and their refusal to let people to opt out from their website as well as their refusal to remove all private/personal sensitive information as per people's requests. I sincerely hope BBB can reach out to this company again and resolve this matter on my behalf. Thank you very much.

      On 2-16-2023 I was notified my personal information from a newly authorized credit card was found on the dark web. This card was only issued in November 2022 after another card was compromised on the dark web. Passwords were changed but somehow the information made it back on the dark web. Now I have been fraudently charged for over ***** dollars in false purchases. The source of this leak is this site, I had used the site in September 2022 for a one time search.
