I had a settlement from a class action lawsuit against Outback Steakhouse. **** is supposed to be paying out the settlements from this lawsuit. I was able to get ahold of someone to reissue my check one time and it never came. I have tried to call multiple times (it just rings and rings and rings and no one will answer) and have also sent an email regarding my issue with no response. I have also requested a check reissuance again but since I have not heard from anyone I have no way of knowing if my check was issued or not. Completely unprofessional way to handle peoples money. My lawyer has contracted this company to distribute my settlement funds in a timely manner as agreed upon with a wire-transfer that typically only takes 24 hours. Weeks later I have still not received my payment, and nobody from this company returns phone calls or emails. They deliberately ignore their customers so they do not have to pay their funds, but they will make sure to receive their fee to process the payment right away. There is no excuse for it to be taking this long and I cannot get an answer from anybody.Business Response

We're sorry to hear that you haven't received the wire transfer yet! I checked our phone records and can't find an instance where you left any voicemails for us to return. I did see that you called in a couple of times today but did not leave a message or speak with anyone, so we didn't know to give you a call back!

Unfortunately, this morning we had technical issues with our phone which either didn't allow anyone to press a button in the system to get transferred, or didn't register any of our agents as active. Our phone company fixed the issue by noon, but that is not how it normally works when you call in. I see that you tried calling in yesterday, Sunday but we are closed on the weekends, and several times this morning during our phone issue. I see you left 2 voicemails, so I will remove you from our callback queue since we will handle your request through this BBB complaint.The reason you did not receive your check when we sent it the first time was we were not provided with your unit number on your address, so the check must not have made it. I have added the unit number to the address and re-issue your check today! The check will be to you in 3-5 business days, and is check #***** for $137.80.

Date of transaction: November 15th, 2024 Amount of money ILYM owes: $8,686.68 What the business committed to provide to me: To distribute a wire-transfer in the amount of $8,686,68 for a bankruptcy settlement.What is the nature of the dispute: I have not recieved the wire-transfer, nor have I recieved any further information. None of my voice messages have been returned, and I have left more than 5 voice messages. No response to multiple emails. No response to their website contact forms I have filled out. It is IMPOSSIBLE to contact this company. I have called nearly 50x in the last two weeks during all of their business hours. Your call will either A) go straight to voicemail or B) you will be on hold for 10+ minutes before being sent to voicemail - or C) You won't be able to even press 0 to attempt to talk to a representitive and the greeting message will just loop. This company seems to activlely ignore all customer contact routes of communication. Has the business tried to resolve the problem: NO! They simply ignore communication. Although it is my law firm who contracted this company to distribute my settlement payment, and I am not directly their client, rather indirectly their client - they have a responsibility involving my money AND I paid them $200, so technically my law firm is only the middleman in this transaction because my law firm has $0 invested of their own money regarding the distribution of my settlement payment.Business Response

I will just be adding to the pile of endless complaints and reviews I have found online regarding this "business." I, too, recieved a letter stating I have unclaimed funds that is currently being held by ILYM Group. I called last week a few times, no answer. I ultimately was passed to an answering machine, where I left a message. Now, I don't necessarily need the money at this time. My problem lies more with the fact that this company is getting away with holding peoples money. People who actually may need it. They also OBVIOUSLY do a FOUL job at communicating. Maybe its in an effort to allow interest to accrue so they make more profit. Maybe they're lazy. They're obviously somewhat incompetent. (Why can't you figure out how to hire someone to answer these calls? Why does everyone posting on here seem to be NOT receiving their checks?) Our contracts that we enter into as class action settlement administrators do not allow us to keep even one ***** of the uncashed funds from ANY lawsuit we work on, so there would be no reason for us to not send you your check or to hold the funds. We reported to the State Controller that you hadn't cashed your check yet, because they typically have more recent addresses for people than we receive from the company that was sued. You receiving the State Controller letter was another attempt we are making to get you the check you're entitled to. We had previously sent your check to ************************************

I received a letter stating that they got a check for me from a settlement and to contact to issue check. Ive made multiple attempts to speak to someone, made multiple phone calls, sent email, and left voice mails and i have not gotten a call back or email back. I called 11/5 and spoke to ***** about the settlement check that was i was supposed to be included in and i was notified to call back in two to three days but when i called back on 11/14 there was no answer. Today I called 6 times almost a minute and on the first try the phone rang but after that the call kept rolling to voicemail. It is impossible to reach someone to have my settlement check sent to me. You were not included as a class member in this case initially. Hiossen did not provide your information in the list of the eligible class members, which is why you have not received a check from this settlement. We submitted your information to our case manager on 11/5/2024 to see if you could be added as a class member, and we are awaiting a response from the attorneys on that request. We don't have any control over that part of the process, unfortunately. All we can do is just submit the information and have to wait until we receive a response from counsel on how to proceed. We checked again with the case manager this morning and we were informed that there is no update as of yet, but they will follow up with counsel again today and we should hear back within a day or two.

There was a class action lawsuit the I was involved in. It took quite some time to complete, which is just the way it goes of course. ILYM was responsible for the issuing of the checks to the people involved. I have been notified that the lawsuit was complete by the law firm that worked with half of the people involved to split the work load. Unfortunately I had **** instead of the this other firm responsible for the issuing of my check. This is no exaggeration - I have been calling, emailing and leaving messages for ILYM for months.. in the ball park of 20 voicemails, numerous emails and outrageous amount of calls to no avail. Not one call back - not one answer regardless of the time of day, or year. I am going to continue to try and make contact because I have no other option. Posting this so anyone else irritated with these business practices understand they are not the only one.Business Response

I looked into why we weren't able to help answer your call, and it looks like what happened was you left 2 voicemails (not 20), one on Friday 11/15/24 and one yesterday, 11/18/24. From there, I can see that you called in and used our dial by name function and tried to connect to someone, but the lines you got transferred to are not monitored. Before that I see you called on 11/13 but did not leave a message. We don't see the calls for months that you stated in the complaint, but sorry to hear about your frustration! Normally we return our calls in 24 hours, but we have had in influx of calls due to a large case and so we've had more voicemails than normal. You would have gotten a call back today, though but I'll remove you from the callback queue since we've made contact this way.
We did mail your settlement check to the address that we were given from ************** back in September, which was *************************************. I see in the complaint that you had a different address at ******************************

I received a letter 3/2024 informing me of an outstanding check. I emailed the contact ************************************************* listed on the letter twice, called the phone # listed multiple times to try and contact someone. No response, *** updated my address and requested a re-issue in their website again, with no response. We did report the funds as still available to the ************************* so we could try again to get you the money you're owed from this, but unfortuantely the email the ************************* included on your notice is not monitored. I checked our call system and saw only one occurence where you called in, on 11/2/24 but hung up before leaving a voicemail, so we didn't know to call you back. However, back in May we did receive your online change of address request and updated your address at that point and re-issued the check.
