      This company is running a recurring false damage scam. Countless complaints on BBB, Trip Advisor, Yelp, social media abound on this racket they are running. They need to be investigated and exposed.

      Rented a car in ******* and the car was dirty and had a horrible smell. At 7pm at night in dark garage did our best to look at the car and saw no major damage outside of the numerous items wrong with the car they had entered on the rental agreement. Did not notice any damage throughout the rental and did not do ANYTHING that would have caused damage to the car and when I returned the car the gentleman said everything looks great you are good to go. To my surprise 4 days later I get a damage claim saying I owe them $950 for scratches on the rims of the passenger side tires. What an absolute joke this company is....SIXT is a bunch of thieves and I will never rent from them again and recommend you dont either!

      The management and how they treated me as a pregnant woman was horrible. I paid for a *** and got a GMC so off the bat I was robbed. My PSI was 59 which I was told if I hit a pothole the tire would have exploded so the company could have killed me. The rudeness, how unhelpful multiple employees were plus the actual life threatening condition of the car was appalling. Unless you have a death wish stay away from this company. I am deeply saddened by how I was treated as a paying customer.

      On October 10th, 2023, my wife and I paid $560.22 for a rental vehicle. Upon landing at ******************** Airport, I received a text stating the vehicle in the category we reserved was not available, but for a discounted rate we could upgrade. I went to the **** desk, informed them they could honor the price we paid or refund our $$. Sixt upgraded us, COOL. We returned the Car Monday the 16th, after refueling the gas. On October the 19th, I checked my bank account and noticed **** charged our account a total of $586.22, TOTALLY $1,146.84 for this Rental car. I called customer service; I was informed that we were being charged a "Smokers Fee Charge for smoking in the vehicle. "My wife and I, we are NON-SMOKERS. After requesting to speak with a SUPERVISOR I was hung up on 5 times. on roughly the 7th attempt to speak with a **************** Rep. I was told that the lady was going to refund our "Smokers Fee Charge" but is was going to take 3 to 10 Business days.This is not the only time that **** has tried to charge Non-Smokers with Smokers Fee Charges, in April 2022, **** tried to charge a woman the same fees, and she was refunded her Complete Rental fees because she contacted Consumer Matters in ******.I DO NOT RECOMEND ****. After they Fraudulently tried to charge us with extra Fees

      SIXT IS THE MOST HORRIBLE CAR RENTAL COMPANY IN THE ***** ******************************* YOU ARE RETARDED IDIOT THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BUSINESS *****. HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING YOU CANNOT RUN A COMPANY. NO CARS AVAILABLE IN ******************************* WHEN I NEEDED TO GET TO ***** THAT NIGHT. AFTER I SET UP A PRE PAY RESERVATION WEEKS PRIOR. YOU SHOULD STEP DOWN IMMEADIATLY. YOU ARE THE MOST HORRIBLE CEO ON THE PLANET.

      I rented a car from SIXT in Sao Miguel, Portugal and they ran this same car scratch scam on me. They claimed I was responsible for scratches, that I don't believe I caused, and are trying to charge me 582 dollars for them! They didn't do car inspection with me when I rented the vehicle and also told me to buy a full tank of gas from them and that they would compensate me for the gas I didn't use....they didn't. Usually I'm more skeptical of such offers, but my flight landed at 1 am (Sao Miguel time) and their incompetent employee struggled with the customers in front of me for 30+ minutes, so I didn't grill him on their sloppy practices and shady offers. I am confident that I didn't cause the aforementioned scratches and I am positive this damage won't be fixed (as it does not/did not effect the performance of the vehicle) and I'm even more certain these scammers won't "fix it" and that it won't cost this arbitrary inflated number. I want a spotlight on this company. They are literally stealing from people.

      After waiting in line for 90 minutes to check in, when it was finally my turn, the representative informed me that the car I had originally reserved was sold out. They assured me that they were preparing an alternative option for me, which I accepted. However, later on, they mentioned that the price I had initially agreed upon for my reservation wouldn't fully cover the cost of the new car. As a result, I had to opt for an upgrade. Otherwise, I would have had to wait an additional hour on a waiting list for the car.

      They try to charge me for car scratch after I returned the car for 2 more weeks. Good thing is I have a record of the video that proof it wasn't done by me.But the reason why I am here because they did it again to me after 6month!!! Is there no one left to control them? This is a scam! Be careful with this trick.

      Surprise, surprise. Just got my final invoice for 4 days in ** and they added $67 for ******* ********** When getting the car, I specifically told the agent "I need no insurance, as my credit card covers it." He replied, showing me a screen with 4 different blocks with the first block ******* grayed out - "it sounds like you only want the basic coverage that your card provides." I said "yes" and he clicked the *******. Guess what. "Basic is THEIR Basic, at a cost. Will NEVER use them again, the rip-offs.

      Shadiest business ever. On 10/2/23 I paid with a debit card for a 5 series BWM in full for a reservation in ********* on 10/19/23. I was obviously excited to drive a nice car as I'm sure everyone is upon booking. I had heard bad things about this company so I figured I'd call them ahead of time just to make sure everything was okay. Upon calling, they told me that unless I had an actual credit card to present when I came and picked up the car that I already paid for in full, that they would not legally be allowed to give me that *** 5 series - and instead they would give me a ****** or a Minivan. I do not have a credit card and nor does my wife - we do not believe in credit cards. I was planning on bringing my business debit card which they already ran with me but as you can see, it would not have mattered! They gladly took my money - and I'm sure they have to millions of other customers, all to find out I would not be driving what I paid to drive. Here's the fun part - when I wanted a full refund there was, of course, a $100 charge to "cancel" a booking. So let's recap for fun guys - you told me I would drive a BWM 5 series, showed me pictures to get me excited - DID NOT tell me unless I had a credit card I would not receive this, then told me if I come without a credit card, I will be driving a ****** or a minivan, then due to me not knowing this, you want a $100 tip. Makes perfect sense! *****************. I would have NEVER booked this reservation had I known this - but conveniently you do not tell customers until after the booking is made IF THEY CALL YOU, or even worse, when they should up to pick up that beautiful car and then are told they can't drive it without a credit card. If your thinking about booking this company PLEASE do not - that's the only reason I'm taking the time - to hopefully help prevent others from being screwed over like I was!
