      I called to ask about a charge on my credit card that appeared about a month after I paid my original invoice. All I wanted was to confirm it was a valid charge from Sixt to make sure my card info was safe.I called and a man answered, asked for my confirmation number and name, which I gave to him, then he said hed transfer me to tolls and invoices department, which he did.The next man who answered called himself ***** and asked for the same info, then there was a long pause, and he said, The agent from before said I was talking to the customers wife because hes out of town. To which I responded, No, I am (my name).I just verified this. He then asked for more verification info, which I provided. He then said, Im sorry but I dont think you are who you say you are, you took too long to answer those questions. At this point I understood what was going on. I have a boy name and he wouldnt believe a woman had that name, even after I provided verification. I asked for a manager several times and he deflected every time, then said, (my name) is a mans name, youre a woman. It continued like this for a little longer, then when I went to write down more of his info to submit a complaint, he transferred me to someone else without saying a word. The new lady answered my question and all was solved. Ive never talked to any customer service agent in my entire life as rude and weird as this *****************. Hes genuinely sexist, arrogant, and uncomfortable to talk to. Felt like I was speaking with a scammer the entire time, but it was indeed Sixt customer service. No one should ever treat other people that way. He doesnt need to work there, or at any other job involving interaction with human beings.

      I rented a car. They gave me the wrong car. Then they charged me for another car they had rented to someone else that they thought was me. I'm still being charged $22.40 for a car that I never rented - and they're completely aware of the situation. I've had to go through my credit card to get the money.I'm astonished at the business practices of this company.I am not astonished to see they have 301 reviews with an average of about one star.

      I had a terrible experience with sixt rental i got charged $400 for not vaccuming the car and additional charges i did not signed for worst company scammers DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT

      Damage my account without my consent and fraudulent activity, I have been over charged for rent. Paid twice I have proof of all receipts. They also tried to alternate my receipt by email. High class technology robbery!!!! I will never rent from them again. They get you buy extending your rent. I return car clean! Tank full of gas, not damages they can not explain the extra charges, they have a lot of young girls working there kids embezzling money! And I did not receive my refund

      ******** scam. Rented a convertible, (I even have screen shot) then reservation said mid size. To no ones surprise, the email, website and phone led nowhere. I cancelled in under 2 hrs but was still charged $100.

      My recent experience with Sixt Car Rental left me deeply disheartened and frustrated. From start to finish, their lack of transparency and professionalism was evident. . The process of renting and returning the car is very slyly handled to cheat customers AND BALCKMAIL THEM LATER TO EXTORT MONEY FROM THEM.During the renting and returning process, they conveniently skipped the standard practice of providing a comprehensive list of pre-existing damages. This alone should have raised concerns.The nightmare escalated when I received a damage claim 20 days after returning the vehicle, alleging damages that lacked concrete evidence. Their demand for payment rested on vague photos, leaving doubts about the damage's origin.To make matters worse, during the return process, they obtained my signature without explaining anything. Their refusal to engage in dialogue or address concerns further highlighted their poor customer service.Now, to add insult to injury, they are attempting to coerce me into making an unjustified payment OF ****** USD by 08/17/2023. Their recent email threatens me with collection agency involvement and reporting non-payment to credit agencies if I don't comply by their specified date. This is a BLACKMAILING TACTIC ADOPTED BY THE COMPANY.In conclusion, my experience with Sixt Car Rental exposed a lack of transparency, fairness, and customer focus. Their unjustified damage claim and questionable practices are deeply concerning. I strongly advise caution and thorough documentation if dealing with them. My trust in Sixt Car Rental is shattered, and I cannot recommend them AT ALL based on my disappointing experience. Despite many emails, their higher management has never responded.CUSTOMERS BEWARE BEFORE RENTING FROM THEM: my hope is that others do not have to endure a similar ordeal. Based on my profoundly disappointing journey, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Sixt Car Rental to anyone seeking a reputable and fair car rental experience.

      This is the worst company I have rented a vehicle from and the only reason they got a 1 star is that you can't leave no stars! They charge you for bogus damage after the fact especially if you have insurance. They sent me a complete list of damage to the vehicle prior to taking control of the vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle I went over the vehicle with the representative checking them in and when he stated that everything looked good, I assumed it was okay! 3 weeks later I received a damage claim for multiple damages! I called and discussed with SEVERAL reps to no avail as they stated that I didn't have anything in writing stating that I returned the vehicle in satisfactory condition! The insurance company refused to pay due to the rental agreement stating that it was damaged prior. So ****** learned- DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

      I am writing regarding a rental of a ******** **** at Sixt Rent a Car at the *******, ** airport on 5/21/23 at 2:21 pm. The car that was rented to me was defective/not properly maintained and put me at risk and destroyed my vacation. After 96picking up the car, I drove 65 miles per hour on the freeway. After driving 170 miles to ******, the check engine light came on. At 5:30 pm, I followed the instructions on the car's glove box, calling Sixt to report the check engine light had come on. **** stated they would send a replacement car. On 5/22/23, 12:52 PM a tow truck delivered a *** to me at ******, ** and took the original ******** to **** E Rental Care Way, *******, **. The replacement *** was not acceptable. On 5/22/2023, I sent an email to SIXT via that the replacement car "*** is filthy, smelly, sticky." and I requested a partial refund for the disgustingly dirty car. The response was that a complaint had been filed reference number ********. (See Exhibit A, e-mail dated 5/22/23 attached hereto and incorporated by reference.) Then, on 5/23/23, I sent another email to Sixt along with a picture, that a warning light that the brake pads needed to be replaced and to have the car checked by the nearest service center. The response (See Exhibit B, email of 5/23/23 and picture). There was no response from Sixt. On 5/23/24 at 2:21 pm, I returned the car to the rental location at the airport at *****************************************************************************. When returning the car on 5/23/23, I alerted the check in team that the brake maintenance light/brake pads need to be replaced was on. The check-in team acknowledged seeing the light and apologized for the inconvenience. Sixt mistakenly identified me as the person responsible for the original problem with the ******** and charging me $3,105.74.Taking legal action against this company.

      The company adds fictitious charges onto the bill after the car was returned. We rented a mini van. Upon returning it the **** worker inspected it and told us everything was good. He signed the paperwork stating the car was returned in proper order. When we received the bill there was a $250 cleaning fee added to the bill for no reason. It took 4 days to reach customer service abd when we finally did they were rude and didn't understand English so they couldn't assist at all. . We Disputed the charge with our bank credit card. after the bank had a chance to review the claim they reversed the charge due to **** inability meet the burden of proof for the additional charge. Now **** has started sending us invoices for the $250 charge since the credit card company took the fee back. . They are dishonest and extremely unprofessional. Definitely don't waste your money with this company.

      If I could give them a **** star, I would. I booked with this car rental place thru Priceline. I reserved the car in ******. Once I got there, I was told by a young lady named ***** that my reservation was automatically cancelled because I booked in the last 23 hours and they are out of cars in my price range. I asked her if she has any cars. She said yes but they do not honor the price match if the cars they have cost more than what you booked. So its not that they did not have cars, they did not want to honor the agreement because it would cost them. So they would rather take my payment, which they did and leave me stranded on in *******!! DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL CAR service. Oh by the way, I asked for the manager, *********** told ***** to tell me he was going through an inventory check and it would be ***** minutes before he came to speak with me!! WHAT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! So no one besides **** can go through the inventory!! Never again I will be writing a letter to corporate! SMH!!!Owner or someone claiming to be the owner.. answered me on ****** review... no apology for leaving me stranded in *******.DEAR OWNER!! Although your response was an effort! You did not address ANY of the problems. YOU and YOUR company did not honor the contract and charged me anyway. A reputable company would have offered one of the cars they had on the lot in order to please the customer. ***** confirmed there were other cars and the not-so-effective manager, **** confirmed there were cars there because he wouldn't even come to the desk to hear what the problem was. Since you are the owner, the avoid the customer and their issue seems to be a problem you have from the top down!! Again!! RENTER BEWARE!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! ALSO THEY ARE NOT ACCREDITED BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU... PLEASE PLEASE READ THOSE REVIEWS BERORE GOING ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY!! Unfortunately, I learned to late!! As of today, I have not received a refund!!
