      Rented a car on 3/2/2023 from Expedia for $529.38 using the SIXT car rental company. Rental was a 4/5/2023 p/u /4/12/2023 return at Phoenix, AZ. When my wife and I arrived at SIXT rental office, I was asked for the credit card that I used to make the reservation. As it turned out, shortly after I used the credit card to make the reservation, it was cancelled due to ********** activity detected. As a result, I did NOT carry that card to Phoenix because that card had been cancelled and would be of no use to us on our trip to see our son and family. What an unpleasant surprise it was when we were told the 3/2/2023 rental agreement and reservation could not be honored since I couldn't produce the card used to make the reservation. So the original reservation was cancelled and a new reservation and contract was made while we stood at the rental car counter. We were somewhat perturbed with the inconvenience but assumed that the rental fee we had paid through Expedia would simply be applied to the new rental contract. Were we ever mistaken as it turns out that we had to pay another rental fee at pick-up ($485.91) for the same car we'd already paid $529.38 through Expedia to rent. Of course we protested that we were being taken advantage of and were told to take it up with Expedia once we return home from our trip. Bottom line is we paid two rentals fees, $529.38 and $485.91 for the same car. We've talked to Expedia and SIXT regarding the situation and only get a runaround. Customer service at both SIXT and EXPEDIA were basically useless to contact as each simply passed the buck onto the other. This incident happened on April 5,2023 and I've been working on getting fairly reimbursed for the $529.38 for the rental made through Expedia on 3/2/2023. I would strongly recommend not renting from SIXT Car Rental Company. ****** *.

      I would not recommend renting from this company, especially the *************** location. I reserved a mid-size SUV but was told they did have one for me. I was given a ***** Accord in it's place which was dirty and reeked of Marijuana. I was told that this would be noted but it was not. Upon return I asked if they were going to inspect the car while I was there they said no, all was good, I just needed to hand over the keys. I received my receipt in an email later that day and they had charged my credit card an additional $531.50 for smoking in the car and cleaning services. I had attempted to contact **** 3 times, twice in writing (6/30/23 and 7/3/23) and once by phone (ticket #********). I received no response back from either of these attempts. I have filed a dispute with my ******************** I've rented quite a few times from this location and I've noticed the service has been going down hill over the past few times. I will be looking to rent from another company from now on.

      Awful experience with Sixt rent a car Philadelphia. They would not honor my reservation. They made no attempt to help solve the problem. I paided double what my reservation was and they would not give me the car I reserved. Awful company and customer service.

      I made reservations with Sixt. Without going into too much detail, my card was charged twice. I thought I would simply cancel both reservations on the website, and start over. There is no place to cancel any reservations on the website. Shockingly, I called the automated phone system, and to cancel my reservation, I actually had to send an e-mail with the reservation number(s), and give an explanation as to why I was cancelling. I received an e-mail over 24 hours later stating that my first reservation would be cancelled for free, but the second one (which they made in error) would incur a $100.00 cancellation fee. Unbelievable. They charged me for a reservation that they made in error !!!!! Do not use Sixt Rent a Car, LLC. **************** is poor. It's even difficult to find a phone number on their website. Like the old saying, "you get what you pay for" !!!

      I rented a car from SIXT in Chicago O'Hare international Airport on March 17th. I returned the car at noon on March 26th, and I asked their staff to check the car. She told me they would check it later and asked me to leave, then she drove the car away. No signature. I didn't know where she went. Now I understood they were worried about that I take pictures (I didn't take any picture). I received email and told me there were ten scratches in that car on 3/27. I stated I never damaged that car. They were terrible. Meantime, I found $53.3 was pending from my credit card on the same day. The $53.3 was posted on 4/16. I never received any receipt. No receipt!!! Then I asked them what money it was. They answered me there were tolls. I paid for tolls using IPASS. I provided the transaction of the tolls downloading from my IPass account and a proof from IPASS company and proved my IPASS account cover this car during the period of I rent. But they didn't refund. I am disputing it now. They emailed me they had repaired that car and asked me to pay for $1992 on 4/25. They were lied. The car was very good when I returned it. Note: I bought the full insurance of collision for that car when I booked it online. When I checked in, the servicer suggested I bought scratches insurance. I agree with it. They wanted to fraud insurance company. They steal my money again in 5/26. So crazy!!! SIXT is a ******* company.

      Bad Company, ********************* Bad Policy!Stay Away!I reserved a van 2 weeks in advance for a trip to ********. When I went to pick it up the desk agent told me I couldn't take it to ********, it was against their policy. It was not stated anywhere when I made the reservation. I asked the agent to see the policy in writing, he couldn't produce it and asked me to check the website. I checked the website, and ******** was listed as one of ********** I can take their vehicle when rented in *****, after I showed this to the agent, he said they have their own policy and I can't take it to ********. I called Sixt customer service and they saw the same thing I did and said I could take it to ********. **************** called the ******************* location and apparently the branch manager there can make their own policy and said no I can't take their vehicle to ********. I had to cancel the reservation and rent a van from another company at the last minute because the branch manager can make up their own policy, and will not follow what's on the company website. I will never do business with this company again.

      Ive been doing a long-term rental for ************************************************************************** a renewal contract monthly and wouldnt charge my card. Spoke to them on the phone. Several times they said that within two business days, they would send me a renewal contract, one morning they just towed the car without any notice Email or a letter requesting me to return the car. I have my passports, my Social Security, my wallet my drivers license in the vehicle it took them a week to figure out where the car was towed to finally received a call from the ************************************ branch that the vehicle is there so I went to pick up my stuff, both my passports and my wallet, drivers license and about $700 in cash was missing no one taking responsibility for this neither is there anyone to talk to really unhelpful company, and someone is trying to use my credit card to shop online probably one of their employees or the company that they use for Towing, this is practically identity theft.And to top it off, they charged me $14,000 on my Amex which doesnt make any sense they didnt charge me for four months of the rental which is $1200 a month this company are thieves,STAY AWAY!!!!!

      WORST experience. We initially had rented a small **** When we arrived at the airport, the front office clerk encouraged ** to upgrade our vehicle which we did. We wanted something a little bigger. The garage was pretty dimly lit and the attendants didnt really walk through the extent of any damages to our vehicle before hand which is why we missed a small bubble on the tire. That first day, we drove our car straight to the parking garage of out hotel since we had made our plans to go to ******** and then dinner at the hotel. The next day, we drove the car to Napa. When we got out of the vehicle, we saw the damage in daylight. The vehicle had been in a big accident to where the entire right side of the vehicle was scraped. This was all noted in the vehicle history. Youd think with damage this extreme; theyd make sure to point this out to you or better yet NOT rent a vehicle to you with 10 foot scratches, scrapes, dings, etc and call it an upgrade. We got into the car, and the air tire pressure light was on. We took it to a tire shop, and the man said the pressure was fine but that we should take it back to the car rental place as the previous accident caused a bubble in the tire. We had to drive back from Napa to the airport to ask for a safer vehicle as a bubble could cause a blow out. This took like 1/2 a day of our travel. When we arrived, the man confirmed that the bubble looked like it was a result of the accident before **. He even showed ** pictures of the car in his iPad and confirmed it lined up with the damage. Three and a half months later, we get a bill for it. Its extremely frustrating as we try to reach out to customer service, uploaded photos, etc. Every time we talk to someone its like we are back to square 1. The fact that they rent cars out in these conditions is dangerous. They should have fully inspected the vehicle beforehand, but it must be all about turnover and money for them. Still waiting on an email back or call from 3 weeks ago.

      This company lied to my face. Told me the car I rented originally would not fit our luggage and we needed to upgrade. I have not done the rentals before my husband has taken care of it but this lady said theres no way it would fit. So she would upgrade me. Turns out she downgraded me and charged me 3X the amount of my initial rental. I asked her if she knew my luggage wouldnt fit and she said no way baby girl. She said she was doing me a favor with 30% off. I paid over $1200 vs my $300 initial rental due to lies being told to me when I just trusted the salesperson . Never have I been lied to my face so many times from someone. So disappointed. Never would do a rental again. I just wanted my three kids and I to be able to enjoy our vacation not deal with a rental company who was dishonest which I found out after I called my husband to say I had to upgrade and he filled me in that it was a downgrade and I was taken advantage of. I feel like an idiot and just dont want anyone else who trusts people to be duped .
