      This company goes to great lengths to be unfair to customers in the name of making money. My flight arrived late to Miami International Airport. Sixt was closed, so I rented from another agency. Sixt proceeded to charge me for eight days. When I made the reservation, through Expedia, I was unaware that I could be charged without receiving a car. Legal, possibly, but neither ethical or fair.

      I booked this ************ for a rental in *********, ********* and immediately after getting the reservation confirmation, I was required to get a Security Code and to contact Expedia for it. I contacted Expedia and they escalated this to a Problem Resolution Team that was also unable to reach anyone at this Company. It is a total scam business and they are going to be banned from Expedia. I cancelled my reservation within 15 minutes of booking and paid the $100 cancellation fee but I am disputing that charge with my credit card company and Sixt will also hear from the ************************ for Violations of Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

      First time renter, as soon as I booked there was a disclaimer I had to put down a $500 down payment for vehicle, I canceled and they charged $104 to cancel what a scam!

      SCAM, SCAM, SCAM is the best way to say about this company. I made reservations thru United.com and change mind and cancelled within an hour of booking. Upon calling United they said they can't cancel the car rental part. From March 1, 2023 to current I have not been able to cancel with this company sixt.com They tell you to go on the website to cancel, did that, didn't even show the reservation so wasn't able to cancel. Contact them by email, just about every time the email would bounce back. Finally got an email from them stating a rep would contact me to cancel. Didn't hear from them so looked them up on ******** and found them. Chat with rep and they are sooooo sorry for the trouble. But still didn't help me cancel. Started getting emails from them during the chat, and once again says go on the website to cancel. This reservation was made a month in advance of the planned trip, they want to charge me $100 to cancel. But their website says that if you cancel within 24 hrs of the pick up time they chg $100, and after 24 hrs of the pick up time they chg $200.....I WANT A FULL REFUND OF $496!!!!!!!!

      I was charged a fourth day plus a $10 late fee. I returned the vehicle around 2:30pm (It was due at 3pm). Apparently, the employee who came and got the key to the vehicle didn’t check the vehicle in. Something told me that was going to happen as she walked in the opposite direction of the booth. I’m starting to think they add on things as a common practice, which is stealing from customers! They claim I returned the vehicle at 5:17pm. I provided them with a copy of my boarding pass showing I boarded at 4:50pm and my plane took off at 5:15pm which means I had to return the car before 5:17pm. I took the shuttle from the car rental place to the airport so I don’t have a receipt for that, but I have a text to a friend showing I arrived at the terminal at 3.01pm. Shame on Sixt for stealing from customers!!!!!

      Sixt charges extra on rentals and refuses to cough up a receipt for corporate expenses. They do know not to mess with an employee of a Fortune 500 company who used a company card to rent vehicles while traveling. They are still refusing to give me a receipt for charges I did not agree to unless I give them more personal information that is not appropriate. How the h*** do you speak to an actual person?

      Worse car rental company in the world Worse car rental company in the world. They charged me for a 2 scratch behind the wheel well of the car. The scratch was on the curve. No one could see this other than a scam company. This car by the way had numerous scratches all over it. I could not prove I did not do it so they billed me ******. No one from SIXT would ever respond. No debates no reasonable discussions. Just pay me. When I did not pay they turned it over to a collection agency. Who did not have any facts. They truly are the worse car rental company in the world. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY WILL GET YOU.

      I will not be using SIXT Car Rental again! On 03/20/2023, I rented a white BMW 530 series for a funeral in N. LasVegas. The vehicle was used to transport the surviving spouse from their home to our beloved family member's final resting place. I reviewed the rental agreement there was damage noted on the rear bumper and passenger side of the vehicle along with other items. When I inspected the vehicle upon picking up the car I noticed that SIXT had even placed a black marker line on the passenger rear bumper. This indicates that SIXT had prior knowledge of the damage vehicle including the windshield. The vehicle was returned on 03/22/2023, in the exact condition when rented. I received an email on 03/23/2023 at 5:17AM stating I damaged the vehicle in the same spot that was previously noted by SIXT. I called to get assistance and was hung up on by the first agent. Then I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I’m talking to one. I explained that the email with the picture of the damage was in fact noted on the rental agreement and she responded that there was more damage then what was in the agreement with no specific details. I then attempted to access the email received at 5:17AM with the picture of the “more extensive damage” and I received a message saying the link was no longer available…She said once you click the damage claim link; the picture is no longer available and she had no access to what was sent. She proceeded to say her records show there was more extensive damage. I challenged her thought process and wanted to know how I would damage the car in the same area that was previously noted but “more extensively”. What are the odds of that happening? Sixt was not helpful and I’m disputing the claim that appears to be a mistake or fraudulent. I do not wish to pursue arbitration unless this matter remains unresolved.

      1.0 star rating 3/22/2023 Like others I was talked into a "free" upgrade by the counter agent, this ended up doubling my original bill. The upgraded car was dirty upon pickup but we walked the car and saw no damage. We walked the car again before turning it in, no damage. The Sixt agent who met us at the car did not mention noting any damage. She photographed the mileage and had me sign her *****. Two days later I receive a damage claim via email from Sixt, "greater than 10cm scratch down to the primer" on the driver's side, along with a photo. This was not there when I returned the car. I disputed this with ****. Yesterday I received the damage claim, $868! Along with new photos and a form listing the damage which included my signature from when I signed the rep's ***** acknowledging the mileage. I called to dispute and was basically told that unless I have photos proving no damage, I'm at fault.AVOID THIS COMPANY!! I've found so many reviews listing similar experiences. Shame on me for not reading them before I rented from this horrible company.

      One of my worst experiences with a rental company. To start off the prices they quote on line are the not what the final prices that they actually charge you. When I asked the service agent they did not have an answer and the small incremental $10/day extra charges added more to my bill. I was in a hurry to make my meetings so I just paid the extra fee and moved on. The car was amazing and loved the ride and the actual car.When I returned the car 3 days later, the person who was checking my out, IMMEDIATELY went to a rim on the car and told me right away that the rim had damage. I did notice a couple of scratches but nothing so major. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I did not not make those scratches on the car. A couple of weeks later I get a bill to replace the entire rim. The cost was $811 of which $711 was for a new rim and $100 was for administration fees and that was on top of like $90 to install a new rim. I was completely floored!!!! I am working with my insurance agent to see what I can do. I also posted a negative review on YELP. I want to see if maybe their a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT I can begin because this company from the reviews that I am reading below and my own experience is a very predatory company. Why is the BBB not doing anything about this? They get a 1 our of 5 and there is no way to warn consumers about this company?
