Poor business dealings. **************** unprofessional. The vehicle I originally leased not ready. They told me I had to wait 30 minutes for vehicle. They offered me another vehicle which had damaged windshield they made me pay for ($1k). Do not fall for these ********. Their employee told me that they at times miss damage upon returns and do not record. So if you lease vehicle and do not catch it they will charge you for damage. Sad part is I told rep to please insure vehicle which is pretty standard for me and when I spoke with claims rep she said vehicle did not have insurance. Again do not fall for these ********.

We were very skeptical of Sixt prior to starting our subscription. There are just so many red flags and bad reviews. Believe them! Our concerns would turn out to be accurate, and then some. When its too good to be true, it often is. What a disaster! Ive never seen such incompetence and blatant fraud. We went with Sixt initially because of their options and thinking it would be safest for our kids. We were upgraded when the car we reserved was not there (right out of the gate they were unorganized). We were in desperate need of a family car to get around in until we move. There was a lot of red flags, but this was our best option. Well, we thought it was at the time. It was alright for awhile, until we kept getting lied to repeatedly in the last month or 2 (had subscription for 4 months). It suddenly escalated this week with a suspicious email. Today, once again we were told our subscription was okay by several people. Suddenly some guy comes pounding on our door claiming he will not leave without the car. I cant begin with how violating and upsetting this was. Our subscription date isnt even up. The lies continued. We tried calling, tried the police. No corporate emails are signed by a name of a person. No contact info. Sixt customer service, wow. Ive never seen anything like it. Apparently (and conveniently) there is no where to call. We were suddenly threatened and blind sided today by them. The customer service you can reach is about as helpful as a rock. We had to cancel plans (doc appts etc) and were left scrambling to find transportation. My husband unpacked our kids car seats and things as weve been using the car for a few months now. This guy was watching the whole time in our driveway over my husbands shoulder. Obviously, we got nowhere and the car left. We have a major pickle and we are furious at how weve been treated. Dont walk from Sixt, RUN. Save yourself the immense trouble. I can only imagine whats to come next for us with them. SOS

Terrible! They tried to charge for scratches on vehicle that were already there and then added a cleaning fee for excessive dog hair when I did not have a dog. Gave out a different car than what I booked and tried to change my reservation. The man checking in came over to the car and immediately started wiping the drivers door with a cloth and cleaning solution to reveal scratches. This company is the worst. Pay the extra money and go somewhere that has integrity. If you choose to rent from them video and photograph everything before and on return. If there is a next time, I would refuse to take a car that you didnt order or is damaged. This company runs on scams and taking advantage of travelers.

I rented in Germany in August 2022, and my credit card has gotten charged every month since then without any notification on why. I have sent email, no answer, and calls get bounced between US and Germany. This business is awful!!

Sixt has been trying to demand payment on damages to a rental car we used on Sept 21 to Sept 25, **** from *************** rental facility. I have been in communication with the claims management since I have VIDEOS and PHOTOS of the car PRIOR to leaving the rental facility. The damages can be seen both in the video and photos. These were all submitted to their claims management when we tried to dispute the charges against us. They have now threatened to send a collection agency and mentioned that this will affect our credit score. they have a very bad business practice.

I am still extremely frustrated with my rental experience from 11/2021. Upon returning the vehicle for our scheduled flight, the office was not open so the shuttle driver instructed where to park and to give the keys to him. I was charged a late return fee, which would not have been possible due to my flight departure time. Flight AA **** *** to ***. This frustrated me, but I did not bother to dispute. Then, more than a week after returning the car I was accused of causing and leaving the car with a flat tire? I questioned the charge because I never experienced any tire issues during the rental. The proof provided of the incident was a picture of the car in a place I did not leave the vehicle prior to giving the keys to the shuttle driver. At a minimum someone moved the car, but after a week it was likely rented again in the rental car market during that time.Pairing both incidents is an indictment on business practices utilized by Sixt. Unethical and intentional attempts to take advantage of customers. I have communicated these details written and verbally, and only receive bully tactics to pay invalid charges. Currently debating whether to utilize an attorney to end this frustration.Your reference: Damage No.: SX-******************** Date of Incident: 11/28/2021 Rental Contract No.: ********** Date of Rental 11/25/2021 to 11/28/2021

I received a quote on a mid sized vehicle for 6 days at $550. I realized this was a terrible rental deal and cancelled the vehicle within 5 minutes. I was then informed I would be charged a $200 cancellation fee! This is an exorbitant cancellation fee made within 5 minutes. I will never rent another vehicle from Sixt Car Rental.

Sixt is the worst company to rent from. They claim they have no telephones, what an absolute joke. You can't contact anyone if you have a question or need assistance and when you do they are absolute ******. Took 8 days and a trip to the office for my husband to get a simple question resolved. I do not know how this company is in business. Horrible business model.

I rented a car from Sixt for my holiday in October in *******, I was in ****** during Hurricane ***, After the Hurricane the car would not start, Sixt could not give me a replacement car, so I had to make my own way back to ******* for my flight home. Despite arranging with Sixt to collect the car from my hotel. They charged my credit card nearly **** for late delivery of the vehicle. I have since had the money back from my credit card company but Sixt are passing it on to a debt collection service to recover the amount. Terrible ****************

What is the point of making a reservation when they have no intention of honoring it. Nothing but a scam artist company with terrible customer service. Needs to be shut down and removed from ***************** in my opinion.
