      I'm warning you, don't do business with this company. I prepaid for a reservation at the Queens location. I went there and they told me that they couldn't take a debit card, even though it didn't say that in the confirmation email or on the website (the associate told me it is somewhere in the terms and conditions) . I was then told that they couldn't rent a car to me and that they could not refund me, I was told I had to call customer service. **************** also told me that they couldn't refund me either even though they are refusing to rent to me. They have no issue taking money from a debit card but nobody in the company has the ability to refund. The costumer service rep told me I have to email customer support. This company isn't upfront with its customers and will make things very difficult for you if you need any sort of refund. They are completely useless when it comes to customer service, they weren't mean or unwilling, they just literally can't help you at all. They basically robbed me of $400 and I've had to file a dispute with my bank in order to get my money back. Don't go here, I rent cars regularly for doctors appointments, I decided to try something new and it was the worst decision, this is by far the worse experience I've ever had with a rental car company and that's saying alot.

      Truly terrible company. They forced us to get an upgrade & then gave us a scratched car. When we returned the car they claimed we caused a scratch on the bumper. Now trying to charge us $650. This is the worst car rental experience I've ever had.

      As others also mentioned, SIXT may steal your money in disgusting ways.I rented a car from SixT (990 ********, ***********, ** *****) for one day in November. I made sure that I did not cause any damage to the vehicle, and the branch and I both checked the vehicle when I returned it. They later sent me a strange email saying there is a scratch on the trunk and requested me to pay $803 for the scratch. I don't even know if there is indeed a scratch. If there is indeed a scratch, I believe it was caused after I returned it. I heard that SixT has been stealing money from customers this way. If this is really the case, that is too bad, and at least this branch should be banned! This is frustrating. If it was caused by me, I am happy to pay for it. But I just can't pay something that was not caused by me. Stop scam please, this hurts customers.

      The woman was straight rude wouldnt help us regardless the situation. We had done paid and she refused to even let us go forward with anything after she said everything was finalized. She told us she couldnt refund us nor help us with the situation.

      Quoted a price and paid for the car rental before arriving at the airport. Rented the car and they took my charge card for temporary hold deposit and when the temporary hold went through they added $112 of bogus charges that were never agreed-upon or discussed prior to renting the car and paying for it in full. Contacted the company who did absolutely nothing about my complaint or my dispute. The company is a complete scam . Do not rent from this company ever!

      I rented a car from SIXT in LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA for one day!! Two days later I receive an email where I am being charged $250 special cleaning fee and $400 smoking fee!! there was NO smoking in the car WHATSOEVER! I was there on business literally for a DAY! they sent me pictures of literally the outside window and I didn’t even know what I was looking at. I refuse to pay a smoking fee when there was no smoking in the car! And don’t try to contact them. It will take you to customer service they will try to put you through to the direct office and NO ONE ANSWERS! I put in a complaint with them DAYS ago and they said the manager from that office will call me back! I’m still waiting! This is by far the most scamming and unprofessional car rental place I have ever been to TRUST THE REVIEWS!!!!!

      SIX is a complete fraud and scam. I am going to spend a considerable amount of time and energy reporting them to every state and federal consumer fraud agency I can find. I had -- for the first time ever - a minor theft incident with one of their rental cars. The glass was stolen from the side mirrors. I took careful photos and obtained multiple estimates for the repair. I asked them to contact me about the repair as well. Silence. I tried to call them and never got anyone who could help me but was assured someone would contact me. Silence. Months after the car rental I received a random bill for about a thousand dollars higher than the highest estimate I had received. I took the bill back to the same places that had given me an estimate and they told me that it was because the dealer who had performed the repaid had replaced unnecessary parts. Dealers make significant money on parts and potentially SIXT had essentially allowed them to scam me by replacing extra parts. I suspect what actually happened is that SIXT has a deal with this dealer to perform other repairs for free (fixing dents, oil changes, etc.) if they allow them to overbill on the repairs the intend to bill back to the customer anyway. The dealer they took the car too has numerous complaints on record for insurance repair overcharges as well. I still have not managed to get a human being from SIXT to call me back about this. Their strategy is to actively evade you and try to send you to collections. I have again not ever paid one bill i my life late ever or failed to pay a single dollar that I owe. But I do object to being actively scammed and defrauded. Do not ever rent from this company. They should not be in business.

      Rented at ****** airport. Man bun behind the counter was arrogant and rude. No contract given. Told to go downstairs to get my car. The girl pointed to the car and said thats your car. No check for dents or scratches. Retuned car to same place no one there to check gas or car. One month later charged $150.00 more after paying in full through Expedia. Invoice unclear. Charged for o5? Police training surcharge???Convention center surcharge?? Try to call, if you get someone they hang up. Few weeks later another $15.00. The phone number on the alert was not working. Closed my card. This company needs to be held accountable!!!! Steer clear of this car rental!!!

      This company doesnt even deserve one star. I am trying to cancel a reservation and they want to charge a penalty of more than half of what I paid. I am trying to cancel with enough time and Im being told that since I already paid, I cant get my money back. The penalty fee is not reasonable, people travel every day, is not like they wont be able to rent the vehicle again. Im trying to cancel 15 days prior to the date of the reservation. This is the worst company. Also, I called three times and requested a speaking spanish representative and I was told that they *** have one. The customer service is POOR. I do not recommend this company.
