1 starI made a reservation. For a car at *********** paid and received confirmation. When I arrived 10pm. The counter was closed and no one around , Earlier I. The day I received an offer to upgrade to a nicer car for $68 more a day. I declined and said the car I reserved would be fine. They responded come to counter. 1 starI rent cars frequently for long periods of time for business . I just discovered Sixt in *******, and had a good experience.A month ago I rented a car from them at their *** location. I returned the car at 2:30PM on Saturday. Their inspector checked the car in and out carefully, and told me that it was OK. At 1AM on Sunday I got a message from Sixt stating hat there was a MAJOR DAMAGE to the car. All Sunday morning I tried to call Sixt, but could not talk to a human being. Finally I drove to the rental location, and fortunately the car was still in the lot. I checked again with one of their very kind and helpful associate, and she also confirmed, that there was nothing wrong with the car. I took a lot of pictures poving that the car had NO DAMAGE to it, other than the ones that were already noted. I hoped that on Monday I can clear up the issue withtheir ****************** On Monday morning, 2 AM, I got a nasty message from Sixt, claming that I refused to cooperate, and asked me to fill out some online forms. Monday morning I spent SEVERAL HOURS before I was able to talk with someone at claims, who told me that the case was closed. Never admiting that they made a mistake, never apologising. Unfortunately they have my CC number, but if they make any additional charges I'll take the issue to my CC company, the BBB, and Consumer Affairs.DO NOT EVER RENT FROM SIXT!!!!!Review fromDeanna K

1 starSIXT rent a car - ************ ****BE AWARE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY ******They are scam artists. We were given a *** 3-Series, which had a ton of damage all over the vehicle, from scratches to dents. They provided us with a long list of the damages and expected us to look at the car closely and look over every scratch in the vehicle, which is impossible because there were so many!!! Not to mention the staff inside was not helpful. We waited to get help, and then halfway through, the lady informed "oh, the vehicle is out of gas," and we had to send an employee to gas the car up, which took another 20 minutes. Then sent us to the parking lot alone to look at the car instead of coming out and checking over any damages with us as enterprise does. They stated, "let us know if there's any damage, and we will document " meanwhile, they were tending to a long, long line and could not leave the desk to go over any damage. They did not answer their phones when we tried to call, and I form them of the damages we found; as well, when we dropped the car off at 4 am, there was no one there to speak with again. Today the day after, we received an email informing us that there was damage to the car and that they were making it our fault. They also documented that we returned the car at ***** in the morning, six hours after our actual return time of the vehicle. They also reported that we drove *************************************** the town of ************, and there is no obvious way we drove that much. This place is a scam, and they are trying to push any laziness of employees not documenting the vehicle before renting on us. We have to obtain an attorney. 1 starI have been cheated. Sixt Car Rental quoted me a rate of $66 a day for a VW Jetta. When I check in at *********** I was told I was getting a free upgrade. The car i was given (an Infinity) had a flat tire so i had to go back inside and wait again. I was then given a *** 3 series. I had to extend by one day.SIXT charged me $245.80 a day plus tax and extras for a total of $1,016 I call their *************** and was told they opened a complaint ticket. I called two weeks later and was hung up on three times. On the last call I was told I was aware of the charges and the case was closed. I would never rent a car at these rates. If you go to the **** web site a 3 series is $143 a day.I'm mad that I have been hung up on three times and believe SIXT do this bait and switch regularly. 1 starI rented a car from Sixt for $211 for six days. At the time I rented it, they did not tell me they were sending a text saying that I should inspect the car for damage before leaving their facility. When I read the text at home, it included a list of damages already on the car. I had the feeling I was being set-up for a false claim, which is exactly what happened. Two days after returning the car, **** sent pictures of additional damage including two scratches (down to the primer). I found it strange that two similar scratches occurred on opposite sides. Evidently, they listed the prior damage, didnt tell me to inspect the car, and then - as predicted - they found additional damage on the returned car for which I am liable.I checked their reviews on line and many reflected this premeditated attempt at cheating customers. 1 starI rented a car through this company for a business trip. Months after I arrived back home I received two letters in the mail on the same day from this company with different dates stating that I had caused damage to the rental vehicle and I now owe them $522.25 No pictures, details about the damage or any evidence was attached to these letters. Also it stated they had been trying to reach me, this was the only contact I had received. I emailed them to get more information. I know I did not cause damage and why would someone pay without even knowing what the damage is? I received images of a very small scratch on the bumper. Again I know I did not cause this. I tried to call them and could never get through. Now I get a letter in the mail that they have sent me to collections! This is a total shakedown and scam. 1 starWe were very disappointed in the service we received from Sixt. Our flight was delayed thus not allowing us to contact the service desk about late arrival. Sixt should have a policy that keeps the desk open for delayed flights and keep track of such. We did the express pick up option thinking we would still be able to get our vehicle. This was not the case. Arriving late with 3 small kids to find out we do not have a vehicle available is beyond frustrating not to mention expensive! We were stuck paying close to $200 for a rental from one of your competitors to get to our hotel for the night. Then we had to take several hours out of our vacation to drive back to the rental center to return that car and pick up our rental with Sixt. To continue the frustration even more, we were told we could not use our credit card because it didnt match the one on the reservation. The one used on the reservation was the virtual version of the card we presented. Then we were charged an extra driver fee for my spouse because he is the primary driver but the reservation was in my name. Every other rental company weve rented from allows the spouse to be a driver at no additional cost. We asked to switch the reservation to his name since hed be the one driving and were told the reservation would have to be cancelled, and since it was a prepaid reservation, a fee would be charged and the price we paid would not be honored. We would have to do a counter rental in my husbands name which would have been almost twice the original cost. It was one disappointing thing after another. After spending an additional 2.5 hours of our family vacation in the rental car center and an additional $165 for the second driver fee, we finally had a vehicle. The following day, we hit rain and find out the driver side wiper blade was damaged and did not clear the rain. This was a major safety issue that once again delayed our vacation. 1 starI booked a suburban with sixt from ********* first off they had me waiting for 1 hr then told me it was still in the car wash so I have to take a Denali cool when they pulled the Denali up it had a dent in the door I asked was it documented they said yes, i also told them i would need to return it to ************ ******* where my port is the agent told me the return location address is on my slip so I didn't look being that I was in a rush. Wake up to return the car look at the slip they have the return in ********* 3 hrs away. So I called and they told me to leave it at enterprise they have a guy come pick it up because it was their error. Fast-forward to 3 months later they billed my credit card an additional $4,900 dollars for damages they say which isn't true, then I get another bill for $1,900 today says for damages ******. They also charged the original ****** they quoted me for. Scam scam scam and their contact number is out of service you can only email *** they haven't responded to non of the 5 I sent. 1 starI was charged more for the vehicle I didnt ask for. I was given an upgrade with a promise from the supervisor on sight. I asked for an x3 *** and they gave me a x5 for only 36 dollars a day. But they charged me full price for the vehicle. I already had everything paid for. But, they charged me more money then I was suppose to pay. Now they are still charging money out of my card and I havent spoken to them since I received my $1000 deposit.
