I rented a car from ***************. Was upsold to a nicer car, a ***. Drove out and at highway speed seemed that tire was not balanced. A day later tire has no air and called for roadside assistance. They do not have any, I either had to drive an hour back to airport or go to pep boys 40 minutes away. Go to pep boys with appointment and they can not do anything for hours and have no idea why Sixt sent me there. Call for help the 5 th time and they escalate my issue and transfer me to a higher level, on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes when I finally give up. Absolutely no roadside assistance and do not care if they gave you an unfit vehicle

Absolutely terrible . Prepaid for car rental for pickup *************** . Our flight was delayed . As soon as we got there I called for shuttle for pick up . Was told business was closed . We were then stranded by this time after one am at the airport . After much difficulty and a long wait we found an ****** Had to pay 80$ to get to our hotel . Called immediately to let them know what had happened . Said theyd look into it . As we were now 40 minutes from airport we had to pay for another rental at an obviously inflated rate . After many many calls trying to get help we received nothing . Not only did we have to pay out of pocket for new rental and ****** Sixt car rental kept our hundreds of dollars for the rental we were unable to pick up . Absolutely disgusting way to run a company . No integrity whatsoever.

This business engages in fraudulent behavior. I rented a car from them and two days later I received an invoice for $900 for a bumper damage which existed before I rented the car, they claimed that their AI imaging detected the damage when I returned it. When I complained they dismissed their claim. However after reading their reviews online I saw so may frequent and similar situations. You would think they would do something to correct their erroneous AI but it seems they engage in this practice to extort money from their customers.

Be aware and do your research on Sixt. You will read about their scam on notating damage and following up weeks after you return or bogus costs utilizing a company called the **************** to make fake claims and estimates.I rented from the LAX location and took video of my car before leaving the facility after reading these reviews. Upon returning; a small scratch on the rim was notated that it was not marked on the report before my rental to which I was told it would need to be marked down since it got missed last return. (All while I had the pre inspection video).Weeks later I received a bill for $636.00 to replace* the rim. There are multiple class action lawsuits against Sixt globally for this scam. All this to say; instead of disputing; I went ahead and paid the invoice. After investigation with other victims of the scam; we found that the cars rims had NOT been replaced in fact all of the wheels had other scratches and scuffs on them. There is a now an editorial piece about Brands that Scam being put together on **** for this reason.Just completely avoid the scam and use a reputable rental car agency; its just not worth the headache. Do your research first.

Returned a rental car they claim there was a scratch on the back bumper. When I returned car I asked the Attendant to check car he told me leave keys and we are all set. We will receive receipt in the mail. A couple of weeks later we got a bill in the mail for $637 saying we scraped the bumper. This is a scam will never use them again.

I am going through problems with them right now because I rented a vehicle from them from their *************** location on Federal Highway for 3 days it had minor scratches when I picked up the car which is understandable for a rental vehicle and I pointed it out to the employee who checked me in. Brought back the car in the same shape filled with gas and she looked over the car and told me I was good to go and I left. 3 days later I got an email stating there were scratches that werent there when I rented the vehicle. I filled out the email they sent to me and tried to call the location but I couldnt reach anyone there and got a representative somewhere else which I explained my situation. I had to go to my bank and cancel my debit card so they couldnt just charge my card for this because I went online today and saw there were many complaints being filed against this company for this exact reason. Now I know why their prices are so good and this company needs to go out of business for doing this to innocent people! I think people need to get together with attorneys and file a class action lawsuit against them!!

I am A gold member with Sixt and years previous *** never had any problems even renting premium cars. I rented 8/13 and returned on 8/20. As I pulled in and got out of the car to check it in a service representative yelled across the drive from his staging area marks its all good. Just leave the key in the car. On 8/21. I received an email that there was a 5 cm scratch on thetop bumper. I only travel with a backpack and never used the trunk. I immediately responded through the email to the claims management department. On 11/12 I received a collection notice. Never any other communications regarding this. Now moving forward, I rent again from **** on October 11 and returned on October 14. Upon return, I made the service representative walk around the car with me and she checked it off and said: yes youre all good to go. Theres no damage. On 10/15 I receive another damage report. Once again, I responded immediately to the email from the claims management division. I imagine the same thing will happen. They will send out a collection notice just assuming.Moving forward, a friend of mine back in June rented a car from Sixt and had the exact same experience. After the fact, after the vehicle was checked in, there was mysteriously damage following. Somethings changed in the culture of Sixt noticeably when you look up their reviews, especially through the Better Business Bureau. many of the exact same complaints. This is definitely looking like at some point Sixt will have a class action lawsuit on their hands.

They said I scratched the front bumper. It was a small scratch and I told them it was there already. They sent me a bill for $631 despite the fact it had been there already. I asked my insurance company to handle the claim and they sent me an email saying they were working with my insurance company. Then they sent my case to a collection agency despite saying they were working with my insurance company. Seems like a scam to me- I strongly recommend that they should be avoided

Very unreliable and use bait-and-switch to attract people away from the real car rental companies on-site at the airport. I had a jeep on hold for 4 months and when I got there they tried switching me to a non 4x4 vehicle because they haven't had any jeeps for months but nobody tried to contact me about it. I did not want a low to the ground and expensive vehicle because Big Island has many lava rocks and dirt parking lots. My return time was 7am and nobody told me the shop was closed and I would have to $20 **** back to the airport, which is a 7 min ride away. Additionally, they are claiming I made superficial markings on the car that were actually there prior to my ever using it, which are shown in my pickup video on this post. It's just a malicious way for the staff to further torment a customer who expressed anger for the terrible customer service.
