In June of 2022, there was a severe storm over our home, which caused us to lose numerous trees and damage our fence at our property. We have a homeowners insurance policy with Allstate (which we have had for years, and have never previously submitted a claim). We immediately submitted a claim to allstate, and attached several pictures of down trees and trees on the fence. Several days later, allstate called us and said that they needed to see more pictures. We offered that they come out to view the damage (because we needed to clear it from the property), but the person we spoke to was going to be out of the office and asked that we send more pictures, which we did. We then began the process of removing the trees and replacing the fence. A contractor recommended that we replace the fence entirely, which we did.The cost to replace the fence was over $15,000. Allstate told us that they would not pay any money towards our claim because they estimated it being $400 (our deductible is $1,000). At Allstate's suggestion, we then had the contractor do an estimate for what it would have cost to repair the damaged parts of the fence rather than replacing it. The estimate came back at $2,685, and we sent it to Allstate.. Allstate has now denied our claim because they didn't have enough pictures of what happened, even though they failed to come out or use drones of the property when they had ample opportunity to do so (prior to us clearing the damage and making repairs). We would like them to reimburse us $1,685 (the cost of the repair minus our deductible).Business Response

I received a notice from Allstate in April stating that my insurance was going up $60 plus dollars. I called to ask why and was told that DC had made changes that increased everyone in the district's premium. I told the agent ***************** that I was not interested in extending my current policy once my 6 months were up. I parked my vehicle until I found insurance with AAA. I recently found out that Allstate had continued to charge me an increased fee even though I told them I was not interested. When I went into their office I was told that I had to send them an email stating to cancel the policy and that I had not done so. I explain that no one had indicated this when I called complaining several times previously. I also explained that the reason I left Allstate was that for the same policy I was paying $306 ( which they tried to increase to $373.18) I was now paying AAA $184.33. After speaking with them in person I now realize that the Allstate branch at ************ Ave Station is running a scam and charging their customers fees that they did not agree to. I request an investigation into the illegal practices at this branch.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:they did not attempt to resolve the issue that I am bringing. Instead they want me to pay a reduced rate that I am not liable. I want the invoice that Allstate submitted to be rescinded. They also continue to insult me by telling me that the recordings they record over phone conversations is strictly for quality of service not to produce as evidence which I take to mean they dont honor their own recordings to expose the truth. I want this complaint to be made public and the business to be sanctioned for deceptive practices.

I am A first time home buyer and was very excited to move into my Freshly renovated home on May 27th, 2022. Unfortunately, a pipe busted in-between my downstairs bedroom and bathroom in June, and this resulted in the entire in-law suite being flooded, as well as furniture and many electronics being declared A total Loss by several reputable loss prevention, electronics repair companies. The restoration estimate is over $10,000 and was quoted to me by empire flooring and other licensed home restoration companies whereas the quote was sent to Allstate. I was offered a check for $1,700. Despite the vinyl flooring being flooded, the adjuster stated they would rather Re-Install it rather than replace it, he stated this multiple times with me over the phone even though I had the water mitigation specialists tell me otherwise. The vinyl flooring is completely unsalvageable and Allstate's Claim Adjuster at the time refused to replace it, until his manager was notified of the problem. Currently the piping in between the sheet rock which was damaged by the burst pipe are exposed through a huge hole in the wall caused by the water. According to my homeowner policy provided to me by Allstate, anything that was damaged by the water would be either replaced or fixed. It is now well over a month and my claim adjuster has been in search of personal contractors that they would rather have quote him personally for the work that would need to be done to make my in-law suite whole again. The issue! no one has yet to contact me, and my adjuster still believes that the work can be completed for $1700 with the vinyl floor being replaced for a similar quality vinyl floor. Now Im certainly no logistic guru but, I would love to see the licensed company he approves to do all this work for $1700 filmed and documented for quality purposes for claim# **********! My adjuster hardly ever responds to my calls and neither does his manager, my problem has yet to be resolved!Business Response

My license has suspended because ******************************************* and the agent named **********************. Because my wife canceled the policies of the houses and her car but not my car because the car is under my name only and not her name. The **** cargo van is the only property I have under my name only and the rest is under my wifes name. During the pandemic my family and I got Covid. So I couldnt change anything in my Allstate account because I was to busy taking care of my family. I just found out that the agent Mr. **** took my **** cargo van out of the insurance account without my permission. Thats because my wife moved our property to another insurance back in July 2021. The property she moved was under both of our names. But my **** cargo van stayed with Allstate until February of 2022. And I signed for automatic renewal since I became an Allstate member more than 8 years ago. Now the new insurance company that my wife is with called her and told her that my license got suspended. So now all I need is a declaration page that states that **** cargo van 2011 was with Allstate since December 2021 so I can get my license back.Business Response

We have had insurance with this carrier for 3 years now and have never had a problem until now. We purchased a home in September 2021 and was told by the local agent that we are going to be given a homeowner's discount on our auto insurance.That did not happen, and we've been paying in excess of $30/month more than we should been paying for the last 11 months, for a total of $330 in excess premium(s).We can't get resolution with the local agent, so corporate needs to step in and resolve the issue!Business Response

On 7/15 I needed to contact Allstate to file a claim. My local insurance agent pawned me off to the call center because it was 4:30 on a Friday and I assume she wanted to go home instead of file my claim so close to quitting time. The first call center Rep I spoke with set up my initial claim but refused to give me any information about my policy and gave me wrong information about road side assistance/car towing and other general information. She was unprofessional and rude, she does not have the skills needed to help people in emergency and high stress situations, also she hung up on me. I had to call back to get the information I needed because I was hung up on. The 2nd call center Rep again told me I did not have road side assistance and told me I would have to pay out of pocket to tow my car to the shop.The 3rd call I made was to a call center Rep ****** She was the only one who helped me and worked through the issue in a professional manner. She confirmed I did indeed have road side assistance, and towing was included in my policy. She called me back to follow up on the issue. ***** was great.I cannot believe the unprofessionalism of the first 2 reps I spoke with. Allstate Leadership, please hire people that can answer questions professionally, honestly and accurately. Something that should have taken 20 minutes took over 6 hours and 10 plus phone calls through your awful IVR system. I pay you way too much money to deal with call center Reps that can even tell what services I have on my policy. These call center reps have caused you to lose my business. I could not imagine being in real danger or a serious accident and having to deal with the inexperience and terrible service.Business Response

Allstate is ridiculous! I have been contacting Allstate since April. In April I added a vehicle to my policy I was quoted an amount of $598 per month. When my **** came the minutely rate went up to over $900 and Allstate never contact my mortgage company. From April until June I was told they was opening an investigation, then I was told my policy wouldnt be affected by the investigation. Then I was told it was a system error and they was working to repair it. Then I was told it was being escalated then they said someone would contact me back. No one has these are the excuses Ive been getting from them for months. I wasnt even notified that my policy was cancelling because they kept telling me they was working on fixing the error on my policy!Business Response
