      I was a customer of Diamond State Sanitation (of *********, **) for a couple or years without complaint until it was sold to ***. In February of 2023, LRS took over the billing (************************************ ************) and I began remitting my payments there. This is when the accounting nightmare began. *** has had the worst customer service and billing processing I have ever experienced on an ongoing basis. The payments were never posted in a timely fashion and it has been extremely difficult at times to get help. Therefore, when I received a letter on July 19, 2024 (dated July 1, 2024) informing me that I would be charged a monthly $9.95 manual payment fee beginning 8/1/24 if I did not sign up for their autopay program it was the last straw. I immediately set about trying to cancel my service with them (which took no fewer than five telephone calls to accomplish!). Finally, I was able to speak with someone on 8/6/24 and end my trash pick up. Unfortunately, I had already paid for the month of August and was due a refund. I was told on the 6th that it would take three months to get my refund of $ *****!! Today (10/31/24), I called to inquire about my refund which I still have not received. I was told that it had been approved and the check would be cut by corporate. I asked when I could expect it and was told 30 days. I then asked when it was approved and was told last month (i.e., September), therefore it has already been 30 days. . . now, another 30 days for a total of four months. I do not believe I will ever see said check and I am thoroughly disgusted. I can live without the $30, but I dont think this company (which claims on their website to have an A+ BBB rating) should be allowed to get away with stealing from customers who have no recourse. I don't imagine I'm the only one waiting helplessly for a refund, either.

      ******* bought a company (****** Disposal) which I had NO CONTRACT with. just a weekly service.I decided to change services and THIS company wants ME to pay them to cancel their service.They want to charge $60 to have them pickup DuPage Disposal cans.I have an email attached that I sent to have them cancel the service. Per their email I left the cans out front for a month. They never picked them up-because I refuse to pay them to quit! and they are still billing me for services that were never provided. the cans were empty laying on the side empty. I have since moved the cans, so my neighbors don't have to look at cans for weeks on end. AGAIN the cans laid on the side for at least a month. I should sue for harassment and unfair business practices.I do not appreciate this company ringing up the bill for services not provided or wanted. they are ringing the bill to go after my credit rating. Do I have legal action available for this harassment?I have attached the dated email at which time I requested cancelation of services 09/09/2024 thanks for your time *** *******

      We apologize for any challenges during this experience. Although the account remained routed for service because the container removal fee requested was not paid, we see the intent to close the account and will credit it to a zero balance. We understand the cost associated with the removal of containers was unexpected. The fee includes labor, maintenance, and fuel.  We can split the removal fees with you. Instead of $60 ($30 per container), it will be $30 total or $15 each prepaid. Please contact us at ************ and select option 3 to process prepayment with a live representative. Once payment is received, we can schedule container removal and close the account.

      I have used this company and the company they bought out for over 20 years and have historically had no issues. However something has changed... I placed my trash out of pickup on 10/15/2024 in the same location as I had for the past 20 years. This time it was not picked up. I called and spoke to an **** ********* who stated she said the pickup crew said the trashcan was not out the night they picked up. She then showed me a picture to which I stated, yes see the blue trashcan?? It was in the picture. She said she would put in a work ticket for it to be picked up. On 10/18/2024 at 9:20 am and again at 9:28 AM my ring door bell camera shows the truck passing and yet again not picking up my trash. I emailed the pictures to *** ********* who stated it wasn't 3 foot from the street. I replied this is the first I am hearing of this requirement and why wasn't that conveyed to me in the call or the subsequent email?? I called again and spoke to another representative who said no credit could be issued but that she would try to get them to pick it up again. She told me she would call be back before 5:00 PM CST, however as of 5:25 this has not occurred. I am not sure what has changed but this is disturbing as my trash is piling up and I have made all efforts in good faith to seek resolution. I have paid for a service I am not receiving services for and would like some resolution to this issue.

      I activated service for the garbage disposal last quarter roughly 3 months ago July 12 2024. I received my first quarterly bill and LRS is billing me for a years worth of service due to backcharges. I find it morally unethical that I need to pay for services that I did not used. I tried to talk to the company, but there only response was that I was liable for the fees due to the day of closing of my property. I never received a notification from either LRS or the village stating that I required to have garbage disposal service only with them. I also did not receive a letter stating that I had a previous backcharges from them. *** should have followed up with a collection agency if they were interested in recouping the amount of these fees before the missed payment for the first quarterly billing or second quarter. I have a years worth of receipt that shows where we been taking the garbage. My father which is co owner of my property has an apartment outside of the village of *****. We used this company to dispose of the garbage. I have proof and documentation showing the receipts of payment and ownership of the apartment. I have attached proof of my fathers apartment ownership and statements that show bill payment to the town that collects garbage. I also attached property taxes info to see proof of ownership. The garbage bill is under my uncles name, but since the apartment is owned by three owners. The town does require three owners for utilities billing. The billing summary attached was provided by the town showing proof of payment.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I feel this is an automated response. I contacted *** several times and they mentioned that they would not do anything about lowering my bill by submitting any proof. This is why I would not accept this response as the response from *** would be sorry thats not an acceptable company that you can dispose garbage even though its the towns main garbage collection company. I would hopefully want to receive a call from someone in upper level management in LRS that is trained to handle business disputes.

      I Was charged twice for a construction dumpster. $650.00 extra, and when we call to try to get a refund, we just get the runaround. No refund, no return call, they have our money and don't intend to give it back.

      Received a quarterly bill from LRS on 10-11-2024. **** and other information was dated 09-25-2024. Due to an increase in charges and a new charge for those not on autopay I called to terminate my service of almost 22 years. I was informed that I would continue to be charged until the end of the month even though I no longer needed their service. I was informed that this was company policy. I signed no such agreement 22 years ago and do not believe I should be charged for a service I have no intention of using. Just another example of a company milking their customers. I do plan to fight this charge.

      I have repeatedly called for garbage service. Nobody answers in under 10 minutes ever if you ask for a call back they either don't call or are registered as spam so your phone never gets the call. Once I received a dumpster they failed to even empty it after the first work even though that was the agreement. I still have their dumpster full of trash on my property and No one will answer the phone. They will not transfer you to management. This has been the worst customer experience I have ever had dealing with a company.

      This company missed our trash pickup 4 weeks in a row. Despite my calls, and promises from them, they never picked up anything. The Township then filed a complaint for trash, and I had to drag 8 cans of rotten trash up a 1/4 mile driveway. I called to complain for a 3rd time, and they said they apologized, and refunded me those 4 weeks. I finally had enough and switched companies. When I called to cancel, they yet again lied and said now it was only a credit, and now that it was October, we would also owe for the rest of the month despite 0 services being completed. I have no contract with this company. They bought a previous company I had used for 12 years(republic services), and they are now telling me I have no choice but to pay them for 2 months of services that they have not completed once, and have now put me at risk for a fine.

      I am rejecting this response because:
       Firstly, my last garbage pick up was on either October 21 or 22. My garbage has not been picked up since i had to make that missed pick up complaint. Second, I have made 2 missed pick up combines since then and my garbage still has not been picked up. That is over 2 weeks since I have gotten service, 3 since my last scheduled pick up day.

      I think the best way to rectify this is for you to provide pick up immediately, apply a credit for 2 more weeks pick up ******, for November 12 & 19th, and then remove your bin. Clearly, though i have mentioned it multiple times since September, you can't seem to understand my driveway is not on 223, but off of ****** hwy. This was never an issue before September and you implementing the new routes.

      I also requested a local supervisor or manager to call me regarding this, but my call was never returned. And my missed pick up complaint was never responded to.

      Trash day was switched during middle of summer. 2 weeks have gone by and my trash has not been picked up. My OWNED dumpster is now infested with maggots and they are again promising to pickup on Friday which will be 17 days of the same trash in the heat. They refuse to pick up earlier or clean/swap the dumpster that is now infested with maggots causing a health hazard to me.
