My mortgage was sold to PNC Bank 4 months ago. My autopay didn't go through right away and I sent a one-time payment to ensure that I wasn't late. 4 months later I am still trying to unravel the fallout from this, because instead of simply applying this extra money to my next monthly payment, it sat waiting to be used in my account. I called and asked to apply this money to my principal, and all **** ***** *****. My auto-pay monthly payment for that month was removed (despite this having nothing to do with the "Unapplied money"), the "Unapplied money" that was supposed to be applied to the principal was mistakenly applied as a full mortgage payment three times, then undone twice, then finally applied to the principal, and then a few days later the auto-payment that was removed was re-applied, then removed, then reapplied again. This resulted in 3 weeks of backdated statements, auto-generated letters from the collections department (from the mistakes they made in removing my payments), etc. Customer service agents are kind but nobody has been able to tell me where my money is and if it was or was not applied to my principal. When I call, I'm switched from agent to agent and tonight after an hour I finally broke down in tears on the phone with them at the prospect of having to explain this again. My experience with PNC has been absolutely terrible and I do not trust them with my money. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

I had a mortgage with PNC and all of the sudden they doubled my monthly payment! They forced me into escrow even though I was making insurance and tax payments separately. They decided to force their insurance on me which was the highest available of course. While in the process of refinancing with them I got a foreclosure letter out of the blue! I lost my house and truly HATE them.

No notice of account closure!!!!! I deposited $500 in CASH at 1pm at my local branch. An hour later I checked my balance and my deposit was still not available. **************** number was unfriendly and unhelpful and instructed me to go back to my local branch. Upon returning and waiting over an hour to see the one and only banker, I was told that my account had a 3 day hold so no money can go in or out of my account. That was a lie!! They sure didnt mind taking $500 in cash and then freezing my account so I couldnt access my money!!! According to the banker, the employee who put the hold on my account was the ONLY one who could remove it. (Another lie!) The banker could never get in contact with this particular employee to ask what the hold was for or if she could remove it long enough for me to withdraw the money back out of my account. After two days of waiting for an answer, I tried to log-in to my account, only to find out that my username and password were no longer associated with an account at ********************. They CLOSED my checking account without ANY notice!! No phone call, email, text, letter, app notification, nothing!!! The only information Ive been able to get by calling the customer number was that theyll send a cashiers check in the mail in about 10 business days. (Still havent received it!) WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS?!?! If PNC doesnt want my business, thats fine with me but give the customer notice that you are closing their account so they can make other bill pay arrangements, etc. Id rather flush my money down a dirty toilet than bank with this dirty company!!! I also see the auto-reply from PNC under every other customers complaints. PNC takes our customers concerns very seriously Oh yeah, do you? I bet my life that PNC hasnt contacted a single person on here to work privately to resolve this matter.

I hate to write a bad review - in this case they Earned the rating. PNC was a good bank for me until I had to deal with the fraud Protection unit. There is no protection from fraud at PNC. They provide a form of reactive response at best to a crime. I used the alerts on my account. I called at the time of a fraudulent transaction. Within an hour of the activity coming up pending, not yet posted. I was informed they could do nothing until it was posted. Then after a month they informed me they believed it was legitimate, and charged my account. I was never contacted for details - just charged. Within days of the first account being hacked, someone charged a 3600.00 generator to my account. Again I called as it was being transacted. Unfortunately it was a Friday afternoon and they had left for the weekend. Again they informed me it had to post before they would react. 3 days wasted. I had to track down the transaction with what little information PNC would share about the merchant. I called the police and stopped the delivery as it was happening in another state. All while PNC waited for it to POST. They are simply letting people steal the money and waiting to go after them.PNC policy and actions are inadequate to protect you in today's world. The decision to charge me for the reported fraud is ridiculous. I guess I paid for the right to leave this review. Your money is NOT SAFE in this bank.

Applied online system didnt process my application and I didnt get notified. I called 3 days later to check on status and after speaking to 5 different people and repeating my name and ss number, close to 1/2 hour wait from rep to rep, they were able to tell me what was the matter. This was a waste of time. Online with PNC is NOT your best option. This customer is taking business elsewhere.

I have been a PNC customer for about 5 years or more. I have an account with three categories, Spend, Reserve and Growth. I also have a PNC credit card. I typically carry at least 5K or more in my account (it is not my main bank account) and have never had a returned check or any negative activity. Also I have/had a credit card with a $12,000 limit or which I usually spend or carry a balance of $6,000. A few nights ago a received a letter in the mail saying that upon review as of June 1 they have reduced my credit line from $12,000 to $6,000. I wasn't contacted proactively, I was contacted after the change was already made. Furthermore obviously on my credit report I am now using 100% of my credit card available credit. I called to find out why this had happened and was informed by the first person I got on the phone that it was because my average spend it 6k. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it recommended to NOT USE ALL OF YOUR AVAILABLE CREDIT!!!I I purposely kept the card balance at half or less so that it wouldn't negatively affect my credit but now due to no fault of my own it's being reported that I use over 90% of it on this card. I've already received 2 emails from the monitoring tools I use that are telling me so. I asked the person on the phone to speak with his manager upon which he replied, "She'll just tell you the same thing." I said I'd take my chances and when I did speak to the manager she said it would be sent to an escalation team and that I'd receive a call within the next few days. So far, no call. These interactions happened on Sunday. I'm infuriated that my bank would do this in the way they did. If this isn't resolved I intend to close all of my accounts, including the card even though it will negatively affect my credit because it already has so I have nothing to lose. DO NOT BANK WITH PNC. Their app isn't up to todays standards either. It's rather archaic in functionality and should be better considering.

I am a SmartAccess user and have had no issues up until now. I have filed a dispute as of April 1st and was advice it would be reviewed within ****************************************************** process. I have escalated the information twice and have not heard back from anyone. The merchant did not deliver the product and I am being forced to pay for something I did not receive due to a the mishandling of the dispute process. If you set a policy you should follow it as you do for any of your fees or other monetarily policys that profit you that you follow.

I have had many bank accounts over the years, because I'm 52 years old. I have been at *************** First National Bank, and about 30 others. The ******** that I will never let go of is PNC Bank. They are the most courteous and professional back I have ever dealt with. If you are looking for a bank that will treat you like a person no matter how much money you have in your account or what your skin color is try PNC Bank. You won't be disappointed I promise.
