My tax preparer issued my tax refund into the wrong bank and account number which is a ********************** account. This happened 2/28/23. I called over the phone and could not get any help so I went into a local branch ******* confirmed that my $6800 refund is sitting in someones account he said that he could send a email to confirm the deposit slip then 5 minutes later said there was nothing he could do when I have all the information proving there was an error made even the branch manager declined to assist me. Why make me go thru a lengthy process with the irs to get my funds back. I need my money!!

I wish I could give PNC ******** stars. Their virtual/mobile app and systems are absolutely worthless, not to mention stressful. PNC fraudulently miscalculates available balances, seemingly in an attempt to rack up overdraft fees that they don't waive like almost every other bank these days. They lie about the overdraft protection that is supposed to protect you by declining purchases if you don't have the available funds, because the balance is NEVER RIGHT. One minute you have the funds, the next you don't. You CANNOT track your transactions in real-time, let alone within days, because they are always lightyears behind. I've had a negative balance at least once per month because they switch the dates of deposits and transactions around to make it look like you purchased something you couldn't afford (when the available balance said you could!). One minute your deposit is 'pending', the next it's 50 transactions below purchases that were already posted. I finally resorted to balancing a paper checkbook like it's ****, otherwise I would never know how much money is in my account since I have to use it daily. Even still, they manage to s**** it all up somehow so I'm constantly inquiring and cross-checking. Also, they will put a hold on your card whenever they feel like it. I have three degrees and I still can't figure out their BS system for anything. This bank is the absolute WORST. They always have been. I don't know what took me so long to switch to another but I did, and it saved my sanity. It is a joke how bad PNC is compared to, well, every other bank in the world. Unless you are OK with a useless virtual interface and constant worry about your finances in the hands of PNC, run away. Fast.

Unethical, should be illegal & Underhanded. Bank elsewhere. They opened a checking without my consent then charged me $7 a month for not having direct deposit.

They employ representatives to answer calls, but do not actual help with anything. Their customer service number is staffed by low-level, unskilled operators with no customer service skills. They offer no assistance to follow-up (following-up would involve effort), and they have no people skills. The supervisors are just as useless and rude as the regular reps. It’s not worth having loyalties to brick and mortar banks anymore. It’s unfortunately, a thing of the past to ask for a service and receive it. You would think they’d want job security by using the game in their customer service, but they lowered the bar to do the same tasks as offered in the automated systems. I’m surprised they bother to answer the phone. PNC has no way to stop unauthorized charges and they make no effort to help follow-up on such issues until they’re resolved. Instead, they have unskilled ego-maniacs who read scripts and give you attitude when you ask too many questions. Don’t call them for help with unauthorized charges. Just wait in que and do it on their automated system so not to put them out too much. In fact, just do online accounts at another company because PNC reps cannot help you, and they act as if that’s normal and treat you as if you’re the problem.

Is this PNC Corporate Policy or House-Rules?I was provided a survey regarding my experience with PNC that's specific to who've served me in which I've provided the best score. However I am pursuing answer to my question about if the Bank Manager of PNC *********************************************************************** location was consistent with PNC's policy or is it House-Rules?Interacting with ****** was a pleasant and consistent experience. My score is regarding the overall experience I've had with the "questionable-business practices" with the Bank Manager. Either she's the only who's doing a thorough job and other locations aren't or every Branch of PNC should be using the same business-practices so it's not "questionable" . Last year (year 2022) I've deposited a $30,000 check from a Court-ordered Estate of a Family member in which was NOT a concern, no question to me or outright scrutiny; however when I began requesting amounts of $5,000 and more is when I'd be scrutinized yet I wasn't scrutinized when depositing the money. So the experience was annoying and confusing because I'm the same person with the same appearance, the same identification and mannerism; yet I didn't receive the same pleasant experience when the money was accepted into PNC's custody when I want to request sums of money of $5,000 and greater. I know that ***** ask the reason for a certain dollar-amount of what I plan to use the money for-----but my gripe is how much I experienced with being told to bring documents of my identity (Social Security Card, Court-Ordered Name Change and asked to print and hand sign my name for signature comparison). Yet no other location has required me to complete the tasks. So I need answers. As stated my experience with ****** was a pleasant experience and I'd rate her a 10. Today is Friday the 10th of March of 2023. PNC Customer, Malavefrascuelo Contrerasdelafuentes. This occurred at the **********, **** PNC on ****************************** location.

Over the weekend I was alerted through an email notification that my checking account was below my threshold which was strange to me because I planned to leave myself spending money after my bill payments for a weekend trip home. When looking through my recent transactions I saw there was an **** charge for $242 in a different state than my own. I was never alerted of a fraudulent charge which was my first complaint.I waited a few days for the payment to go through before I called their corporate/fraud number listed on their website. It was extremely difficult to even get through the automated system before I finally reached someone who didn't have a **** clue what they were talking about it. She almost sounded inconvenienced that she would have to deal with a fraud claim and told me that it would take ***** days for them to even look at my claim and refund my money, so she suggests I call **** myself. Great idea, idiot, except I'm not an **** customer so people on their end basically laughed in my face saying they couldn't look into anything because I didn't have an account.I have had my card skimmed at gas stations before and my bank is always the one to reach out to me, let me know fraud has been detected, and then THEY take care of it. I have never heard of a bank making their upset customer investigate their own fraudulent charge. This has left such a negative taste in my mouth I want to pull all my money from the bank and look for a different establishment.

This is a worst bank I have seen in my life, I have processed a $1M HELOC from this bank and they sent a check of excess amount to my other bank which they returned. Now it is almost 3 weeks and a new check is not yet reissued. The loan officer I am working is kind of a worst person I have worked in my whole life. I made at least 10 phone calls and it always goes to voice mail and the loan officer never responds you back, I emailed him 15 times and almost no response. I am paying interest to two different banks for the same money and still the loan officer do not update me on what is going on. Someone need to investigate the extreme behavior of the loan officer and see if I am the only victim or many other people have suffered because of such behavior.Really looking for some senior authority in the bank so that an investigation can be done against the loan officer and why such people are still allowed to work in such a large bank.********

My Mom made me Financial ***** of ********* and all papers were filed at the bank. However, because of "internal policies" they will not allow me to do what she needs done in order to get her finances in order to enter a long term nursing care facility. Even though I am legally her POA, they insist that she has to physically come into the bank to put beneficiaries on her account, even though she is in the hospital with ***** and cannot walk. In other words, their "policies" somehow super cede a legal document that was drawn up by an attorney. If you have elderly parents, or you are an elderly customer of PNC, I strongly suggest you move all funds from PNC Financial Services and go to an institution who respects legal documents drawn up by an attorney so that you or your kids can deal with a reputable institution who basically screws you over when you are ill. My mother has been with this institution for 45 years, me for 35, and we will be pulling all funds from them as soon as I can physically get her into a car. As if having ***** wasn't bad enough, they have upset her to a great extreme that she can't even count on them respecting her wishes when it comes to her finances. If I could leave no stars, I would.

We have been trying to get a home loan with PNC Bank. Our credit scores are above 800. SO you would a mortgage would be easy. Nope! The loan officer was deceptive in giving low rates when he knew we were buying an investment property. Even the *** manager over *************** said he was deceptive. The Compliance Officer said he would monitor but of course, he has done nothing. Now *** ( a huge National Bank) does not know how to work with a **** exchange. What could have been simple is now causing us money, lots of time to get everyone straight and on board, and we may lose the house we are trying to buy due to ***'s inability to get organized and work in the timeframe they said they could..

2 Weeks ago I was going to deposit Euros ********* at a current exchange of $31,030.00.PNC wanted to deposit $27,000.00!!! That is over 13 % below market value! Is that even legal?Last week, I deposited a Certified Check for $24,000.00 and the branch manager (********************, *******), stated that they placed a 5 day hold on the funds without being able to give me a reason and actually letting me know at the time I deposited the check. In over 23 years, the longest I had to wait for a certified check to clear my account was 1 (ONE) day.I am a customer for over ************************************************************************* as a customer anymore.Shame on their corporate management!
