Replaced battery last year with AAA and this week had battery issues wouldn't start car...wouldn't hold charge...they won't honor 3 year warranty ( Because the 85 year old gentleman didn't drive enough...) that is crazy...this so called big company is nothing but thievesCustomer Answer

I requested a tow with AAA from my house to the dealership at 8pm. I was told it would come between then and 9:40pm. At 10pm, I called and was provided no update. At midnight, I called again and was told it would be taken care of overnight. In the morning at 7am it had not yet been done, so I called and spoke to a supervisor who said she would reach out to *************** directly and I would get a call. I never heard anything, so I had to drive the car myself to the dealership, where it broke down and I had to get a tow up the rest of the way. As a paying customer, it is disgusting that I was pushed aside for 12+ hours, and something only got done after I threatened to report them to the state. I would like this tow to be refunded onto my account, as it shouldve been handled quickly from the beginning.Business Response

I purchased the Tire and Wheel protection. I was told many things that were not applicable. I requested a cancellation. I paid 515. Plus I was told to buy a $100 *** membership. I was refunded $299. I am requesting a refund of the *** upgrade membership and the Tire and Wheel price.Business Response

I have been a member of AAA since ****. Last night I had a service call in which I called AAA at 5:30 PM requesting a tow for my car that was not able to be driven that suddenly broke down.I received a confirmation text which I have attached and was told it would be 45 minutes.An hour later no one has showed up so I called again and was told it would be another 45 minutes.An hour and a half passed by so I called back a third time. This time I was placed on hold for over two hours., I included a screenshot of the phone showing the time that I was on hold. I had to use a relative's home phone as my iPhone battery had died.After two hours they told me that they were having "issues with tow truck drivers in the area" and that no one would be able to come and tow my car until 6 AM the following day.I explain to them that this was in fact an emergency and I needed to be towed home and returned to my home because I have medication that must be taken within a certain time frame and it was absolutely unacceptable for me to be waiting 12 hours for a tow not to mention it, put my health at risk. By this time, it was now close to midnight and nearly impossible to find either an Uber or someone to bring me home since I was approximately 40 minutes from my home address. The representative did not care and kept explaining over and over again that it was an issue with the tow truck drivers in the area and that is all I was told.I eventually was able to find a ride home and waited until six in the morning for a contact from the tow company or AAA to let me know my car was being picked up.I heard absolutely nothing, and was given no updates whatsoever by AAA during this time frame.I received a call around 4 PM on Saturday which this was the following day as I had called initially at 5:30 PM on Friday to initiate the tow. This call was not from AAA. It came from a towing company itself and they were on the way to pick up my car and they did deliver my car to me.Business Response

I contacted AAA because I was having trouble with my brake lights they wouldn't go off they were supposed to send someone out to help they never did I had to call twice they said we are 2 stops away they never showed up had to call again the next morning but by that time the battery was completely drained when there agent could've disconnected the battery the night before and saved the battery so they should be responsible for the cost of the new battery not me!Business Response

7/31/23 tow ended with AAA driver driving my vehicle through fence @ mechanic.8:41am 1st AAA request to jump my vehicle @ home. **********, arrived 9:02am started vehicle. I ran vehicle about 30min - tried to drive to mechanic for repair because emergency brake would not release resulting in vehicle not driven for months so battery died. Pulling out of driveway brakes felt faulty & vehicle stalled. I decided tow was needed.9:41am 2nd AAA request for tow. **************, arrived w/ flatbed 10:24am. He started vehicle & asked me to drive to mechanic - if vehicle stalled he would tow. I tried driving very slowly - half block away tried braking @ stop sign & brakes failed - I rolled past stop sign & pulled to curb for tow. Flatbed came & I said vehicle had no brakes & required tow. He drove without winch up flatbed. Barely stopped vehicle & slid back frightening my *************** said to us it was scary w/ no brakes. After vehicle was secured I walked home & drove another vehicle to mechanic. Driver just got vehicle off flatbed & mechanic said winch vehicle into parking spot. Driver started *********************** pack attached & hood up blocking windshield. Engine revved loudly as vehicle went through fence. ****** said he didn't know what happened & he was having bad week involving social services investigation for elder neglect with his mother. He asked if I wanted to report incident & I said yes. He took photos & said he'd report to AAA who'd pay for damages to *************** & I would hear from AAA soon. I also took photos.I didn't hear from AAA, 8/2/23 I called to check *************** never reported. I reported with member relations **** ************************ After several weeks of calls with AAA, ******************* AAA denied claim. Said I couldn't prove driver responsible. 9/6/23 I requested case review. 9/18/23 spoke w/ member relations management, *************************, who again denied claim & said driver claimed he didn't know brakes were faulty.Business Response

I had my Jeep towed from my jobs parking lot (********************************). On Friday September 15th. It was being towed to my home address of ************************************************************. The driver did not leave my keys with my Jeep. Its been 3 days and Ive made a call every day, including Friday when I could not find the keys and no one has tracked down the driver. I keep being told they will call me when they track down the driver. I have my house keys on my key chain as well. This has been a huge inconvenience.Business Response

I called AAA Southern *********** this past Wednesday, 9/6 at approximately 2:30 pm to have my vehicle towed. I was told that volume was up and it would be about 2.5 hours before a truck would arrive. The approximate arrival time of the tow truck was 10:30 pm, an 8 hour wait. While I understand AAA could have been busy, in the 27 years of membership, I've never had a wait over 3 hours on the 1/2 dozen tows I've needed (I travel for a living). This incident speaks to a much larger problem, obviously they have not signed up nearly enough operators to service their client base. Cancelling my subscription is not an option as I need the service.Business Response

I signed up for their 8 hour online Defensive Driving course. I had answered everything correctly until I got to the very last chapter. It locked me out because (according to them) I did not answer the identification questions correctly. I got on the phone with a customer rep who refused to accept any other type of identification. They refused to refund me. I was told to reregister and start from the very beginning. Not only did I waste 7 hours of my time but I also lost my money. I would have to invest another 8 hours and more money to repeat course. This is very deceitful to the consumer.Business Response

My AAA membership renewed 8/1. I contacted them 8/4 to cancel the membership and they said a full $211 refund would be processed. After waiting 5 days with no refund I contacted them again and was told my cancellation was not approved. Ive since requested the cancellation and a prorated refund and they refuse. I no longer even own the car I purchased this coverage for. Would love your assistance as this is a terrible business practice.Business Response
