On 3/15/2023, I called for service as I had run out of gas in my own driveway. The car started successfully after they just poured the gas into my tank, but because I was already home, I did not drive anywhere until the next day. 3/16/2023, I had driven less than two miles from my home to fill my gas tank the rest of the way when the car broke down acting as if I had yet again run out of gas. Being that AAA took well over two hours the previous day and I was no longer close to home, I called my local mechanic (which is my right to choose). They brought me more gas but the car still would not start. 24 hours and $783.98 later, they were able to determine that my car had contaminated gas. I reported this to AAA, who opened a case for me to see if they will take responsibility since the gas came from the garage that THEY dispatched to me. They then "investigated" and denied my claim stating that they will not reimburse me because "my invoice for the damage was from two days later" EVEN though the invoice reported that the root cause was their contaminated gas. I had another issue yet a few days later due to the sensors that were triggered by thee incident with the contaminated gas, so I took my car to my dealership to diagnose and they were confident that it was related to that same contaminated gas. That visit cost me an additional $151.32 not including mileage.Business Response

On 7/14/2023 a letter from AAA ********** Insurance sent me a renewal for my renters policy. On the bottom of the front page there is a number to call for the National Flood Insurance Program. I called it and was connected to a scammer who tried to get my information to get me free equipment depending on my age. I reported this to AAA but have heard nothing back. Also, I have been working with them to add a new car to my policy and remove an old car, as well as add my partner. I talked with them first on 7/25 to start this process and have needed to talk with 5 customer service reps between then and now (8/21) to have my policy updated. I finally received letters in the mail today notifying me of changes to my account, none of which are what I talked with the representatives about. They continued the policy on the wrong car. They have shown complete incompetence during this process and I am at a loss for words.Business Response

On August 8th, my car wouldn't start. I called AAA After having a friend come try to help. No luck. So AAA told me I had to pay an additional $90 for a tow because it was my 5th call of the year. Yet I just renewed my membership after a 4 month lapse. I figured it would be my 1st call. So anyway I paid the $90 and AAA said they'd come within 3 hours. The next day at 2 p.m. over 12 hours later, they still hadn't come! I kept calling and they said there was flooding in ****** yet I was in Plymouth. My husband finally found a friend who offered to come to us, after sleeping in the car all night, the windows wouldn't roll up so we got eaten alive by mosquitoes. The friend fixed it in 3 hours and still, no sign of AAA. I had made my 1st call at 11 p.m. the night before. Now I'd like my $90 back because they never showed up. I have called twice, the 1st time they said 3 to 5 days, the 2nd time he said 7 to 10 days. This is ridiculous and still no $90 returned to my bank! This also happened in ******* but that's another story!Business Response

I purchased premium coverage through triple A northeast back in November of last year I have to say it has come in handy up until recently when I purchased a vehicle and broke down in my new vehicle and was refused a tow from triple A even though I had coverage they said they didn't cover vehicles just purchased and I Said I had purchased it almost a week ago its was always my understanding that triple A is for roadside service even if it isn't your vehicle say your with a friend and break down.. i was forced to call a tow truck and pay 300 dollars out of pocket for a tow that should have been covered by triple A. Because they refused to do what there soul purpose as a business is and provide roadside services please help me correct this wrong and get my hard earned deserved money back Sincerely *************************Business Response

I had AAA and they took it out monthly. One month, I had fraud issues on my account and DCU shut down my debit card. My renewal was only 3 months away and I paid 8 dollars a month when it should have been 6 dollars a month. I couldnt get my AAA renewed until I paid $98. I was told I could have a free driver on my account until it renewed which was why I had an increase. I like to pay monthly because I am on disability and cant afford $100.00. They included the $98 as my subscription for the following year without my permission. They never asked if I wanted to do monthly plans. They had a deal going on about waiving the fee of $15.00 and upgrading would have been **** dollars and a free person to add to your plan. They charged me when it wasnt due yet so I got a -$15.00 fee from my bank and not authorized. I didnt get to chose my plan and was threatened for months to lose my plan if I didnt pay. This would affect my insurance and benefits. AAA just made unauthorized moves without telling me what I needed to pay for. I have documents from my bank for proof and other documents that I can send in.Business Response

I paid $193 for annual Renewal of my plus membership then was told my plus membership did not have coverage for my primary vehicle a motorcycle without an additional $60 RV add-on. I needed to get my car towed home but was denied service from the tow company with paying an additional $275 to go less than 40 miles away. The tow driver said I was a basic member and only had 3 miles of towing and said my car which was a Tesla model 3 was motorcycle and i would need to pay additional $95 to tow it because it was a motorcycle. A Tesla model 3 is not a motorcycle. I was furiously disappointed and had to find another towing provider to get me home. I called AAA back to request a refund but was refused because my wife was not there to give permission for them to refund my charges.Business Response

on 6/27/2023 insurance broker ************************** who is employed with AAA northeast assisted me in cancelling my ****** auto insurance policy. On the same day, 6/27 he enrolled me in a new auto insurance policy with progressive. on 7/11/2023 I received a correspondence from progressive auto insurance stating that. I reached out to **************************, but spoke with ***************************** (another broker who works at AAA northeast) who was able to process my payment again. Progressive has a policy stating if initial payment of a new auto insurance policy is unsuccessful, then a new policy needs to be instated. I have tried to reach out to ************************** on multiple occasions, and he has ignored all of my correspondences. I now have no auto insurance. I am being told by progressive that I am unable to begin a new policy, and have to go through a broker. I would like for AAA Northeast to resolve the issue with my auto insurance coverage. I provided correct bank account information, and from what I understand, the error was in how the broker entered my payment information. If i receive a penalty from the *** DMV for 8$/day of maintaining registration on my vehicle without insurance coverage, then I would like for AAA northeast to compensate me for this. ************************** has blocked my emails. I am unsure of how to resolve this and feel as though I have been taken advantage of.Business Response
