This place does not deserve the 1 star that is given!
I took my vehicle in to Firestone in January 2024 and had to pay over $3000 for vehicle overheating. They said told me that the turbo tube broke in the mechanics hands and the had to order a new one, leaving me without a vehicle. They reimbursed for a rental, which is great. HOWEVER, the issue was not fixed at all. I had to take it in again in March, May and now August for the same issue. Each time, I'm being told something else is wrong that is related to the problem but it is not covered by the warranty. Over $5000 has been spent in the last 6 months and the problem is NOT fixed.
They never call me to update me about the vehicle, and I go to pick up my car today and the issue is NOT fixed. And now, my AC doesn't work. The price of the work was more expensive then what I was told over the phone, I couldn't get a detailed invoice and I requested the old parts and also did not receive them!
The workers are rude, not informative and do not update you at all through the process.
I will never recommend this business to anyone nor will I ever return for them to fix anything.

They will take your money and order. Ask for all this information, but then cant find anything. And then its up to me and my bank to get the money back.
No one knows anything, there is no way to track your order. Its 2024, how can you not find any information in regards to the abundance of information you enter to place an order.
How is this acceptable. Go somewhere else and pay a little more money with people that appreciate your business. They got my money and now they dont care and I have to fight on my own time to get my money. They wont even refund even though nothing was ordered and no work was done.

I have been having issues with my Town and country, for sometime now, it keeps turning off while I'm driving, it happens every couple of months, so I took it to Firestone every time . I've been getting my vehicles repaired or maintenance for 10 plus years at Firestone, Steve the original manager was my go to for any issues. Now it's a train wreck, I was told the problem was the fuse box or sensor and then the key, I trusted their call and spent over $1000.00 for it to not be the problem, I have asked for my money back and was told to take it to the dealer, the dealer could not find the issue, I paid firestone money that did not fix the problem. I want my money back.

1558 S Wabash, Chicago, IL - If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Unfortunately, my car broke down close to this establishment and based on the Firestone name I had it towed there on Saturday. Was told they couldn't see it until Monday/Tuesday, no worries. Didn't hear from anyone so I called about 10am on Wednesday and was told that they needed my extra spare keys, so I had to borrow a car from a co-worker to get there to drop off the keys. I was then told the person fixing the car was going to be off the next day so I would have to wait another day which would be Thursday. Thursday comes and again no call from the shop, so I call them at 10 am and they say we'll call you back by noon, no calls. So today Friday at 10:30 I call and was on hold for 20 minutes!!! Then when they answer I'm told, "if we couldn't fix it, we would've told you", well you aren't telling me anything!!! So if they don't have it fixed today, I will be taking it to a more reputable repair shop who understands that PAYING customers deserve communication if nothing else! I have no idea how much more time. loss and money this is going to cost me, but it is definitely a bought lesson that I will never forget. HORRIBLE.

They don't even deserve 1 star. I went in to get my breaks looked at as my low brake fluid light came on. They talked me into a full diagnostic assessment for $120. They told me my car would be ready in a couple hours, I called back around that time and they said it would be another few hours. Finally I ended up coming as they were closing. They told me they just needed to top of my break fluid as my breaks were in perfect condition. A few weeks later I heard weird sounds while driving. I took my car to *** ******* and they said I was full metal on metal on all my breaks. This place should be shut down.

I was sold a service I did not need for another 33,000 miles. The part they sold me and installed was a spark plug that was supposed to last at least 100,000 miles, and now, less than 8,000 miles later, part of the spark plug broke off in my fourth cylinder and ruined my engine.
They will not fix it. I would not be in this situation if:
      A) they would not have sold me a service I did not need for another 33,000 miles
      B) if the part they installed worked as advertised
Firestone needs to stand by their employees' work, fix my engine, and contact their parts supplier to file a claim about faulty parts. Instead, they are allowing a customer who has been loyal for over 30 years to be without transportation for over three weeks now.
The service that was provided by the person who worked the front desk was also unacceptable. I have worked in the service and retail industries for decades and understand that this was not the person at the front's fault. I never raised my voice, I never belittled them, I never was rude to them and they treated me worse than anyone in their industry ever has. They spoke down to me, and also said it was their "last week there so they didn't really care". That's a direct quote that was heard by my partner over the phone. They gave me a fake number to file a claim and when I asked to speak to their manager or a regional support person, they told me, "They are in meetings all day".
I have had a very difficult time getting in touch with anyone and only heard back yesterday (three weeks after my initial claim) from someone in claims to tell me it would be at least another week before anyone could tell me any information.
This location has also been an issue in the past, but because they were "under new management", I decided to stay loyal. They installed windshield wipers that few off the first time used. They have not rotated my tires and still tried to charge me. They have not reset sensors after oil changes.
      This needs to be fixed.

Absolute worst place ever after confirming with TWO people prior over the phone TWICE when we get there, they say that they can no longer do our car service until winter!!! I told them I have 3 infant children I would have to make arrangements for so leaving the car was not an option but I would just stay! then they say there’s a not stating they can not do the service AFTER I received a confirmation email stating they would!!!

They have changed their ways and NO longer honor their warranty on their products claiming “road hazards”, when where else would you find a tire, other than on the road.
So they are now about trying to make up “limited warranty’s” to make money via scamming ***..
Avoid Richie he’s the biggest scammer. Honesty is NO longer a value at this location.

Long P***, the service manager at this branch was very unprofessional and judgemental. My wife was in because she had a nail in her tire. Simple fix, pull off the wheel, dismount the tire, slap it on the stretcher, grind and apply adhesive then the patch and wait 15 minutes for it to dry, then you put it back together. The WHOLE PROCESS takes 30 minutes AT THE MOST.
Estimated time was 2 hours, which, ok I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that if there was a lot of labor intensive projects on the plate that day, could be understandable. BUT being that I worked there before, I know how things operate and the processes of of a mechanics shop and this guys back handed comments to my wife were ridiculous and totally uncalled for. He was giving attitude to my wife, talking smack about me saying that “if your husband used to do tires, why doesn’t he do it then?” And to my actual mechanic, who is too busy to work on simple tire jobs. The one reason why we DON’T bring our vehicles regularly to wheel works is because I DID work there AT THAT BRANCH and I DON’T trust their employees. There are some shady people that work at wheel works sometimes. Not everyone, and that’s why the good guys technicians and mechanics go work somewhere else. This guy, Long P***, is a terrible manager and should be reprimanded.
Especially a manager, he should have the professionalism and courtesy of other companies around the area. Textbook defamation.
